Yes it is true altcoin have very good future but for choosing altcoin you must have good knowledge and updates about these coins because good coins have very good future and some not good coin will Delisting from exchanges some time due to their trading or other reasons so before choosing coin you must have to good awareness about this coin and then you can get good reward from it.

Question is how many crypto currencies will really be needed to cover well the currency function, value storage, the need for total privacy and then all the other uses cases? A more fundamental question for the future of the whole market is, how big the part of the total economy will be that will get decentralised. I am bullish on that outlook but surely not all coins and tokens in existence today will still be there in 2 years time.

That is surely correct. But while many will perish during the next many years, just as many new ones will emerge. More interesting I think, which ones will survive 3-5 years even 10 years?
Your last question is not answerable because I guess nobody can know which coins will sustain a long term in this market, 3 - 5 years we can predict some coins based on present progress in their project, but ten years it is tough to guess.

Many altcoins definitely have a good future. 2018 will be the year of alts. Of course there is a lot of bad projects, but globally the benefit from developing of good projects will surpass the drawback of scam and failure projects.

I think in the future altcoins focused on the AI field will be very potential!
For me yes, as of now there are still many promising altcoins, and i believe that altcoins really have a great future and just like ethereum and waves this two is the best example of altcoins that has a good or a bright future, the price of it has a big chance to increase or pump it's value very high in 2018.

I think it is depend on the Altcoin,
Every cryptocoin have not good future because some coin are DE listing some exchanges due to the the lack of trading volume so if the coin will be good then its volume of trade should be good and good coin have also good future and good demand.

In my opinion like I always says to others. Bitcoin started just like any other altcoins, it just that it fitted to be a currency to the economy of growing internet era and just like other altcoins they might just need to find where their coins is much needed to be able to follow what bitcoin has reached and will reach in the future. Each altcoins has a future and what they offers is their ticket to be successful just like bitcoin or any other more successful altcoins growing.

The future is but certainly not all. I think that most of the coins in the future will not need, so you need to invest wisely

We are fortunate enough to witness the emergence and development of this era of blockchain, but there are still large bubbles that need to be noticed.

The big portion of  success of altcoin depends on its developer and his team. If they can manage to provide their promises in their  whitepaper then the future of their altcoin will be bright as sunlight.

I believe Bitcoin has a future in long term. It proved itself in the past years and it is getting widely popular. It just has a transaction fee problem atm.

What about the altcoins? Who does use them for real? Will people use them in the future for real purpose?

I only have a hope for ethereum and litecoin, but not for the rest. I am not even sure for eth and ltc.

If bitcoin solves the reansaction fee and time problem, I doubt eth and ltc even have a future.

There are too many altcoins in this modern era but all these coins had a debut. No coin have started that’s way with great success even bitcoin also didn’t start with as much popularity as now that can get so we can say that if any coin starts that’s way and give the demanding benefit to the people then that coin will get a successful future. Ethereum is a famous alt and peoples are showing their reaction positively for ethereum and different type of people likes different type of altcoins and it is so much necessary to keep going online trading.

I am fully confident that in the future alt coins will be very popular. Particularly interesting will be projects that give complete anonymity to the network.

Altcoins in general are integral in the flow of crypto. It serves as a  delimiting factor for every investing company. We can't say that they will grow as big as BTC but they help in adding other functionality for crypto. It also a way for companies to think of other services to which only their token be used.

No doubt, the altcoins have a future.
Especially those that have a real benefit from their use, both for individuals and for business.
Bitcoin is use only for speculative transactions, and in the future BTC will go away.

Sounds about right. My thinking too. I too believe bitcoin one day will vanish, when I where I do not know. Some altcoin, but not bitcoin, will one day replace cash.
