Don't miss this kind of opportunity when you have a capacity to go to college. Mostly today's professional careers need to be a college level or graduates degree. This is more important in order to get a high salary grade job. Big companies demand for it for the efficacy of their employee into works achievement.

The experience  is really great yet it will still varies to the student. If is really willing to learn then he surely gets the high paying jobs someday that you were talking about. However if he or she doesnt show interest to the topics or lessons or will never persevere to learn then he or she will end up nothing in the future. I know some

Yes, but you only learn about theory. For example, you can't be a welder just reading about welding. Reading about things is not enough. And students have a lot of pointless subjects to learn. I, for one, know history is important but don't want to learn it. Just an example.

It depends on what you want to become. If you want to continue in the field of computer science, a degree is not necessary. Also, you can save your time and money by using the internet resources and Moocs. They are better than some colleges these days, believe me!  Wink

I think it depends on the individual
what are we going to college for?

to earn a degree or science

many lessons that we can take at college. I think the lecture is very good because we can get knowledge that we can not get outside.

one example in the field to the doctor or pharmacist

Classroom lectures may be accompanied by very useful practical examples that you can not find in the books. In addition, listening enables you to understand and memorize knowledge much faster than reading and reading. You will save a lot of time and effort for the final exam but still be able to achieve high scores. So I think you should go to school.

In hindsight, I wouldn't have gone to college because I had not idea what I really wanted to be/do. Now I am 25 and have a much better idea. Also, stay away from drugs & alcohol... very, very, very bad stuff.
Yes you should because this will brighten your future. And also it will avoid you from drugs that is bad to your health.

It depends on what you want to do. I would recommend you decide what you want to get out of college and the cost. It might not be a good trade to go $100k in debt for a degree that you won't get that kind of return from.

It depends on you; no one can decide what path do you want to go, college gives you a chance to be successful in life, explore your knowledge and skill, build it up. College gives you a chance to have a decent job after you graduate. But study something you like. Like taking up engineer if you’re math lover. Education is like a treasure that cannot be stolen. 😊

Absolutely you should go to college, but think hard on what do you see yourself doing and whether this will be something you will be able to make the money from, once you finish your education.

Yes,we all should go to college for us to learn more and explore more. Aside from learning more we all have the advantage of getting a job because one of the requirements is to have a college degree. Some people do not have the opportunity to go to college because of poverty but if you have the determination you could have job while studying and finish a college degree. And for those who can afford you should not waste it thus you should study hard to achieve what you wanted to be.

Yes, you should go to college eventhough some subjects they teach can't be used while working but still you will learn from it. A diploma is just a piece of paper but it will be a tool to what path you want to go after you graduate.
When you work some theories you studied while studying can be also be used when you work.

Hi everyone,

What advice would you give a HS senior in US about to decide on and/or enter college ?

I think you should for college. You know what if you a degree holder or a college graduate, you’re gonna make more money and many companies hiring a college graduate. More opportunities for your career.

Hi everyone, I think continuing education to college is a great idea.
By continuing education to college, in addition to gaining knowledge, we will gain new friends, skills, and other useful things for our next life.
I think if we study in college, it will make easier for us to live in the middle of society.

Yes go to college, finish your studies and get a degree. That is the best thing
you can do and give to your parents. Having a college degree is one of the best
achievements you could be proud off. That could also contribute a promising
career for you in the future.

Otherwise you will be very bad at most things you will try.
