I believe that they're popular mainly because well it was the first of all cryptocurrencies to be made. Honestly most of the other coins are scams and greedy ways that the developers make money. The only other coin I can think of that isn't a scam are dogecoins! What do you think?
well one of the reason why is it popular because it's the first crypto and for me it is the most secured among all of the cryptocurrencies. also I heard that some crypto nowadays are made only to deceived people they only want to gain money of the people they really don't want to help the users but bitcoin is different it helps a lot of people to have a new life and new beginning. |

Because people believes on it. Its wide range of freedom and access to publicity, the rate it grows so fast, and it lives longer than any cryptos since it is the first cryptocurrency.

When cryptocurency start and only for bitcoin support some time latter other coin add this crypto currency. Bitcoin is a world best coin and huge amount of people know about bitcoin within a short time as that way bitcoin is a most popular in crypto currency platform. There are many cryptocurrencies, therefore, some cryptocurrencies can be shitcoin or trash or even scam coin. Although my words can make someone angry me, but some altcoins I know are Bitconnect, Hextracoin, Ucash ... are altcoin and token about lending. |

it says politicians, economists, businessmen. Many people in the world know only bitcoin from other crypto currencies and have never heard of

1. Bitcoin is getting more popular because of it's fast price growth.
2. The media (news) and everybody is talking about bitcoin not other coins.
3. Bitcoin has the biggest market capitalization among all the other cryptocurrencies.

I agree with what you say, lots of altcoin is just a hoax to enrich the developer. but not all like that, there are many that are quite convincing and have the technology. that's why we have to be more thorough and always involve the knowledge to choose on crypto investment. |

In my opinion, the reason why bitcoin is the most popular among the other cryptocurrency, you're right its because bitcoin is the first decentralized cryptocurrency that was made but that is not the only reason but also bitcoin has the highest value among all those other cryptocurrency such as dogecoin, litecoin, etherium. Bitcoin also was the first cryptocurrency that was being introduced to the people in different countries. |
