I believe that they're popular mainly because well it was the first of all cryptocurrencies to be made. Honestly most of the other coins are scams and greedy ways that the developers make money. The only other coin I can think of that isn't a scam are dogecoins! What do you think?
You're right. One of the reasons why is it's the most popular is because it is the first ever cryptocurrency. Also because it took time before altcoins emerged, that's why for a long time Bitcoin has the spotlight, getting all the media attention. But it's slowly changing now as altcoins are getting better and better. Bitcoin's really got first in the market that's why its popular but its does not really mean that it is the best in the market many crypto are joining the block chain technology now whom is much better and had far features than bitcoin this altcoins makes the block chain expressed how good the technology is but out of everything bitcoin is still king and its really dominating the market |

bitcoin is most popular cryptocurrency because the value of bitcoin is so very high so thats why some people got interest to invest in bitcoin they believe that they will get a huge of money so if you want to hold it i think someday you'll get a lot of money just believe in bitcoin! |

Well if you'll think of it that ay, bitcoin is popular because it's been the oldest of all crypto coin so it is only normal that most community have already known it which makes it that popular which unlike other coin that has only been released like a year or two. There is ETH which is showing potential to be popular yet it is not a coin. Bitcoin provides a lot of opportunity to both young and adults in the community so it is only normal for people to spread word about something where they can all benefit. It might be the features of bitcoin that is introduced in the market on 2009 its such a game changer in the old industry where medium of exchange is being decentralized where there are major difference with having your money in banks, also bitcoin is so popular because its the mother of all crypto its the first one to be introduced in the market so people will really knew bitcoin over other cryptos in the market |

There are mainly two reasons why Bitcoin remains as the most popular crypto-currency out there. These are:
1. Bitcoin was the original crypto-currency. Other alts such as ETH and BCH are at least partially based on Bitcoin.
2. Most of the trading for the other crypto-currencies (perhaps with the exception of BCH) comes from trading versus BTC. Alt vs fiat trade volumes are quite low.
Yeah thats right. besides that because bitcoin is the first cryptocurrency and makes bitcoin more popular and firstly adopted by many people and that's what makes bitcoin a much larger user than altcoin users. other cryptocurrency is just alternative |

Yes Bitcoin is very popular because it is the first decentralized crypto. But what does Doge has that you can say it is better than other coins like Komodo, Monero, Power ledger and other coins? I just think that new coins are becoming better than most of the old ones. |

I think bitcoin is the most popular cryptocurrency because it happens to be one of the oldest as well. People prefer to choose something that is already proven and trustworthy. By gaining people's trust throughout the years of existence, bitcoin's popularity rises up as well. This is the reason why it is the most popular. |

Yes,I agree with you that bitcoin is the most popular cryptocurrency. I think 80% country in the world accept bitcoin. Bitcoin is so much popular because its value is increasing day by day. The other coin price is very low besides the other coin is scam. technically this crypto currency are known by bitcoin not as much as it is but we know that this digital currency are first known by bitcoin, when they say bitcoin we know that this is a new digital currency , not totally as 80% are accept bitcoin we cant even know if that is true but we know that this bitcoin are spreading day by day just how the price is increasingly day by day. Everyone knows about bitcoin because it is the very first currency of its type that was introduced into market and got attention of people. Or is it the other way around? People are putting attention to bitcoin (since it's the most popular cryptocurrency) and so it has a growing price. Bitcoin has the most user base than any other cryptocurrencies. It's really hard to say that bitcoin is the "best" cryptocurrency because feature-wise, it is surely not. All altcoin out there have their very own features that make them unique and better than other altcoins in some way. Altcoins even have a smaller transaction fee and a much better transaction time. There are times when the price of bitcoin is moving and everyone is trying to cash out. Bitcoin is the most popular cryptocurrency because it's the base currency in the crypto world. You base the price of altcoin in the price of bitcoin. And sometimes even when the price of that certain altcoin in terms of bitcoin is down, and bitcoin is up, that altcoin's price didn't really move in terms of fiat. Basically bitcoin is affecting the price of all the coins. Of course there are coins that can be traded directly to fiat but converting to bitcoin first is still the dominant way of exchanging your altcoin to fiat. |

Aside from what you have said is that bitcoin is supported by a lot of companies even big people in the industry has put their trust in it and has invested a lot of their money, that is why it is as stable as we are thinking and a lot is considering bitcoin as the mother of cryptocurrencies, and it has a great foundation of system. |
