After all the regulatory news recently I think everyone needs to be extremely careful investing in ICOs.
It's likely that a large amount will be determined to be securities and a lot of the early ones won't even have even taken in KYC information. Just today it was reported that a number of ICO coins were delisted from exchanges in Hong Kong after their regulating body determined that they were securities.
For me, the litmus test when investing in ICOs going forward will be finding the ones which are doing everything required to be greenlit by the SEC etc.

Yes, it is still promising on investing with ICOs because of getting higher profits in a period of time but like you said you have to be picky because there are a scams. A good example of an ICO are having events, videos of the team and partnership with great companies. You just need to remember the rule of investment, "Patience is the key to get success". ICO investment isn't a place for the dreamer get rich fastly, this is the place for those who can keep patience to wait the result from their investment, sometimes, it can take you few years. As the market begins to recover I believe the ICO market will come back to life and on average will outperform BTC and ETH. Granted there will be a great dispersion between the good ICOs and the bad ones it's far from recover and at this moment we should see another downward movement before recovering. also what does that mean by 'ICO market will come back to life' ? a lot of ICOs popped out from nowhere,did not that mean it's already life ? the main problem is a lot of ICOs did not fullfill their commitment and ran away with other people money. and on the other hand regulator trying to find out how to 'prevent' their costumer to get into it, that mean the ICOs will be died in the future. or at least only some ICOs will exist and it requires a lot of process to make it happen. |

Of course there are still good and promising ICOs available for you to invest, but there are some stupid ICOs too. In Crypto field or not, when you are going to do an investment, there are lot of things you should do. Take your time, ICOs display messages to urge you to invest, but do not get caught by their traps. There are lot of scammers doing huge campaigns and looks very promising at a glance. You have to take your own risk.

Investing in ICOs is still very promising but money is not the only thing that you might have to invest. You must first have to invest your time too researching about that project and knowing everything about it and when you know that it might do great in the market. That's when you invest money in an ICO, and as there are many advantages of participating in the ICOs, one of them being the discounts are pretty great, approximately you get the coin for 30% less the original value and lot more. So it is also for people who don't like holding for long and want fast profits!

ICO is a good place to help new startup create crowdsale easilier than IPO normal. You have to know the new startup always need to have funds to develop more and ICO is really the best tool to help the developers approach investor easilier than through IPO with many rules from SEC. |

A lot of people can use ICOs to wash some money, so if you buy low and sell high you are lucky and made some BTC from it )
So try to invest in ICOs that have a HardCap )

Yes the ICO companies are promising and legit. We must invest in ICO since they will provide a huge return on capital at short period of time; with ICO we can achieve all things and become successful indeed.
It is a nice thing we have a backer in all goals we have.

Very promising to be exact. If you found the qualities of an ICO that has a exceptional team, solve a pain in a innovative way, unique and has already a working product then brace yourself because you got a ticket to the moon or beyond.

Yes investing in ico is till profitable check out BPS ico @bitpaction.com. at time u do get coin cheap for a lot of coins after the project is successful along with some bonus. Example sphere at ICO was every cheap plus 50coin as token and got listed and now at $1plus image the profit

I'm quite sure that it's still quite promising to most investors especially those who do short trading. The more popular ICO are hard to grab a token at times. Otherwise, I am a fan of long term HODL so it's not that promising personally for me.

Good question ! Majority of the ICO's are genuine and some are scams as well. It is best to research before invest with any ICO. I think Daneel is a good ICO to invest and it is a beginning of new era in crypto currency. Daneel's ICO is already started and still you have a chance to join their general sale. I am a person that gains profit from investing in ICOs but now I'm having second thoughts. I know some ICOs are potential scam so I am really picky to where I put my money.
Anyway, considering with what happened to Ethereum price and with the nearing Aigist 1, do you guys think that it will still be profitable to invest on ICOs mostly on ERC20 tokens and those accepting btc payments?
I think that yes, there are some promising ICOs that are worth believing in. Cause it's clear that tons of great ideas stand behind them, and when one invests in an ICO, it's a step forward to a new reality in some way. Of course, there are a lot of scams-ICOs. That's why your own research is a must. look through their activities on the Internet, in public (especially), who the team members are, etc. Read their White Paper thoroughly and do the things like these - and you will be a success. |

To tell you frankly, for the first time, i don't have a capital to invest in ICO projects. So what i did is, I joined the bounty campaign to have a capital. For me it is good to invest in ICO to earn good profit. But you should have to give more time to research what is the background of project you invested. There's a lot of ended ICO in which has great reputation and has a great value more than 3 times from their old value. I tell this to you to give you a hope in participating the crypto world. It really works for me so it will works to you too.

Yes as you can see around you the growing interest in the newcoming promising Icos are the everyday routine nowadays, just dont be fooled to scam Icos that asks money or want to you to install their backdoored wallet.
I advice to to full read their whitepaper and backers/advisors behind an ICO to know the real trustness in it, do some research about it when you want to invest it some
