ICO will remain a promotional medium. indeed today many ICO's are scam. But not all projects. investors really are investors who are ready about the profit and loss. Everything has been taken into account. even the losses to be borne have been prepared. so it does not affect their finances.

I agree that 75% of ICO is scam, but there are promising projects worthy of attention.
There are some that are legit and most are only scams. That's why there are investors that are skeptic with the other projects because they became victims of those scams. And for those that are still thinking on what are some of these ICO's that are worthy of attention. I would like to suggest VLB, it has a very responsive set of support and as well as they are active in promoting their ICO. And the last news I've got is that one of their staff attended a conference on Japan.

employees of VLB or SONDER ??
I don't know what sonder is but it's obvious that I'm talking about VLB. And that conference I'm saying was organized by Blockchain EXE in Tokyo and the staff that was sent there is no other than the co-founder itself.

No matter what you doing you need be smart and think global!
Investors should definitely think smartly if it is about their money investing.

ico's nowadays is not a long term investments. they scalp money from investors and they left behind. the team and developer runaway in just months when first entering exchange. so much better to know it carefully, transparency team identities and know it's connections with other successful projects.

I treat investment in ICO very carefully and before participating in the project it is important to study it well and make sure that it is not a scam.

In my opinion, it is better to make your own research and trust your guts.
I was asking myself what to do when cryptocurrency goes down and found out that the most of the privacy coins are undervalued right now.

The best opportunity is to find a privacy-related project with a low total supply (less than 100M), that way the price will be increasing much faster.

I recently found one project called Ethereum Meta, it is related to anonymity and untraceable transaction. They have a very interesting project to build the Anonymous E-Market Place.

They are on exchanges right now, you can check their website: https://ethermeta.com/
Or even better go through their Bitcointalk thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2659058.0

I think that the investment in ICO is too risky, it is better to buy coins on the market and to profit from the difference in sales...

I think yes because even there's a lot of ICO show up, there some of them are still worth it to invest. Just keep investing even you can get or not profits, because we cannot avoid to invest sometimes in scam ICO. The only thing we can do is accept whatever happens, because doing investing it means you have to take the risk of it, also don't lose hope keep using crypto of investing is not for you then try another way to earn than investing.

I think yes, it's very difficult to find a project that will really become profitable and bring you a good income, you need to be a lucky one))).

This moment is incomprehensible now. There are many ICOs where you can lose your money. But there are those where you will really earn good money and take part in a classy and promising project. Pay attention to TokenGo- block-platform of business tokenization, using an equitable remuneration system. ICO will end in 35 days. Time to join. More information: https://tokengoplatform.com/

I think that it has always been profitable and investing in ICO will still be as there will be a crypt. I think that this is quite promising, although not very stable.

I am a person that gains profit from investing in ICOs but now I'm having second thoughts. I know some ICOs are potential scam so I am really picky to where I put my money.
Anyway, considering with what happened to Ethereum price and with the nearing Aigist 1, do you guys think that it will still be profitable to invest on ICOs mostly on ERC20 tokens and those accepting btc payments?

For me it is still possible to invest in ICO but first thing you have to do is read first their ICO and check their platform don't just invest you have to double check their platform and read their whitepaper because if you did not study their ICO carefully you might invest in Scam ICO. Be mindful of the scammers. Their are so many scamners out there you never know who they are.

Investing in ICO is still promising though there are many scamming ICO and few Legit ICOs but you can still get in touch with the legitimate ICO by understanding what they stand for, i.e vet their whitepaper before going any further.

I think it is profitable, provided that you have chosen the right ICO instead of those ICO scams. The project needs to have actual development is the most reliable.

Many projects are scamming, or pre-sales figures are low, so they are trading well below the normal value of the stock market. That is why ICO investment is not as profitable as the old one, and it is not as low risk as the old one. For this reason, I think it is a good idea to make a very careful choice when investing in ICO because there is also the risk of being a pawn in your possession with little eagerness to earn money.

Yes, we must think long term when investing in any ICO ..It is promising for the sage man! If you don't know what you are doing, chances are you are going to fail..

Take Amon ico for example, as it has a short roadmap and doable product, it will offer good profit for the investor. Plus it is clear and no bs around it. So chances it will be good one once they deliver: https://amon.tech  ..upon this I can say ico still promising!

Watch out for those scammers who are trying to rob your money with their "unique" idea yet it's impossible to implemented. Look at their whitepaper and research about their teams
