I have a working testnet but no one really asked about it, and the current stake options would completely centralize the coin.
Yeah, it would. Honestly though, with FRK's market cap as low as it is, there's only going to be consolidation of the coin anyway, it's only a matter of time before it's profitable for some market maker to take advantage of your work. I'm not one of those though so it'll happen when it happens.
I don't see much wrong with a PoS/PoW system like Peercoin, so long as PoW rewards are kept long term. It's kooky, while decentralization is the fairest way to live, it's human tendency to centralize by grasping onto our surroundings. We've got a long ways to go.
I posted in the CryptoID thread asking how much they need for a year of hosting, we'll see. It cost about 1BTC to host DGC.
I also sent you an email to sign up for Slack, I haven't used it often, I'm more of an IRC person. I'm squatting the #franko channel right now. Join #digitalcoin if you wish, we also have a Slack thingy set up at noobie.io if you'd like to join, pm me your email and I'll send it to the admin for the invite.
