As many will have found out, you can't simply have a website that sells stuff, even good quality stuff. So, you need to have something which attracts people, and the best attraction is of course money itself. You need to create something like a force multiplier, some sort of incentive for people to advertise Your site to their friends and relatives.
I've often though that offering £5 a week or month as a Cash prize to visitors, plus a percentage of your sales, maybe up to 50% or even more.
So you have a base cash prize of £5 per month, then you offer a percentage of your sales, that incentivises them to advertise your site to friends and relatives. In addition, advertise your site with the many many free competition sites so you will drag in their visitors too. What I suppose you are trying to do is create a Snowball, something which Grows and Grows, a bit like a viral video and I think the only way you can do that is to give money away free and incentivise further growth by offering a percentage of your sales that incentivises them to encourage their friends and relatives to visit your site too. What I'm describing is of course Affiliate marketing. Offering free money, even a small amount will definately attract extra visitors, how do you stop abuse and convert those visitors to sales, that's another question, but the first step is getting visitors and offering money, even a relatively small amount ( say £5 per month which is £60 per year ) is one of the best ways to do that. £60 per year may sound a lot, but you can easily spend that on Google Ads. If every Bitcoin site offered a small amount, it would attract in the Masses.

If your account represents a Bitcoin business or you are a developer, please post here so we can get you into the forum beyond. State your company, project in addition to what you wish to do on the forums. We will get you whitelisted promptly.
Godspeed in your endeavors and thank you for your service!
Hi Everybody... I am a developer and at the moment I am tasked at building an interface that allows the company that I work for to exclusively accept bitcoins. Because of security considerations I would prefer NOT to state the name of the company or the name of the project at this point. If possible, please whitelist me. Thank you in advance. Message to the mods: I might be able to provide additional information outside of the scope of this forum if required...

I have been playing around with generating bitcoin vanity addresses and reading about the work being done to create potential vanity address mining pools in the spirit of bitcoin mining pools.
I am wondering what folks think about the business prospects of such an undertaking (and the potential market demand for vanity addresses). In any case, it is a lot of fun.

Hi, First post - Newbie Jail / Long time lurker.. I've been chatting up bitcoin to a local business ( http://kuseno.com/) on the integration of Bitcoin to their system.. At the moment, they are not sure as they have not had much exposure to bitcoin. If you think that the product is something a bitcoin'er would be interested in, let me know, and I'll try to keep spreading the bitcoin love... -- Anyway, Hope this is my substantial first newbie-jail post! --

My Team and I are starting our own startup that consists of multiple smaller startups (I.e is more like a community of webmasters working together to promote each other) Furthermore, I am looking to expand my private forum and faucet by advertising and recruiting the more intellectual members within the forum.

Hey all,
I'm working on an information website about bitcoin casino and poker called BitcoinCasino.org. Bitcoin gaming is still in its infancy, and I aim to provide information about the bitcoin accepting casinos out there to help other players pick the right casinos to play at and avoid the scam scam sites out there.
Cheers

We are announcing our business to the Bitcoin community shortly, we have also had approval from BitFunder to list on their securities exchange.
If we can get white-listed it would be appreciated.

Hi, We are a couple friends that are starting a new site. Our focus is on promoting BTC by offering cool products at discount prices and hooking up Bitcoin vendors with buyers. We would really appreciate it if you could take a look and give us some feedback. We're offering a few products to get off the ground as we work out more deals with suppliers. It would be great to get whitelisted so we can talk to more people on the site! Thanks! www.coinarc.com

Hi I've started a small Qt/C++ Bitcoin Utilit library ( https://github.com/lclc/QBitcoinUtil). Might be useful for others too, who want to create for example Mobile or Desktop (KDE) widgets which shows the current BTC/$€£ price, converting tools etc. I'm also working on a small app / widget which lists the balance of your wallets (or others), for watching your overall Bitcoin wealth Regards
