Both skunk mod sp1 and Palgin version are flagged as win32.malwaregen on my antivirus. At first I thought this is common - many miners are flagged as antivirus, could be a false flag.
But upon closer observation - my antivirus caught skunk mod sp1 when it tried to create a file services.exe in my windows directory. And Palgin version gets flagged when I try to google search - it tracks search indexes... Anyway - can somebody with more knowledge explain this, because there's definitely some code in these files that intends to do more with your system than just mine the coin.
did you get them from a 3rd party website?
never ever trust a 3rd party link in this toxic envoiment.
most probably they got infused with a virus that your antivirus wont detect.
if you want to take the risk do it in a safe space.
airgapped computer, virtual pcs or sandboxes.
but the last two wont really help.
try to keep your "sandbox" away in a different network then your wallets and workers.
if there was a virus in the original download people may know by now.
serious pages will always link the source.
i did not check the files you were talking about.
