Bitcoin as a course or any related currency on web.
In my country we have multiple courses in computer especially programing and web developments. My course is also information technology, but i've never heard or learn about online currency as bitcoin. In present, and future studies is there any chances for inserting about it in education. In your country is it available?
It would be better for any country to adopt bitcoin in educating new generations. Instead of playing games and wasting money in surfing xxx sites.

For me , i agree with the adoption of Bitcoin to every country but i disagree with making Bitcoin a Course, If a person wants to learn Bitcoin they can search it in google, or come here in Bitcointalk.org and read all related topic about Bitcoin.

Sure thing, you are right.  Bitcoin shoulf not be made as a subject.  Just a part of discussion or a topic maybe in computer science because it would be a perfect example for students to be inspired in coding.  Plus it can be also discussed in finance subject because it is related or bitcoin is equals to money.
Adding bitcoin as a topic in finance subject is the perfect subject to include bitcoin because in finance subject it is all about money and they can get some tips from the teachers on how they can spend their money wisely and invest it to the best investment as of now and they can now introduced bitcoin as a revolutionary currency that can change the whole process of payment system so it is a really good investment.

I believe it could also be but not as a degree but something like vocational or specialization on Bitcoin. If we say course then it will turn into a profession and it has to be added in the whole curriculum and it has to be legalized first in that country. A subject about cryptocurrency maybe inserted into a computer course. Only my opinion.

What exactly is the question? Bitcoin is considered a commodity and taught a few very small areas. There is no reason to teach anyone about it if they want to learn about after themselves. That is like why you asking they're not class about window making. Because it is a small isolated community and no one needs to learn about it the overall scheme of things.

If apply Bitcoin to the knowledge in college, I do not understand the student will receive what the benefit from it? Economy, Finance? No, we can supply those knowledge from other market, other bubble growth in history. I think blockchain technology better than Bitcoin for apply to College study program.

Would love to see college courses offer Bitcoin in Econ style courses.

Also would be nice if colleges accepted BTC/crypto for tuition.

I saw an article about a small private elementary school accepting BTC as payment.

This is only the beginning.

Bitcoin being included in a curriculum would signify it being established enough in the country to have it backed by many laws and regulations--which is possible to happen but very unlikely. Also many government of different countries prefer to stay away from bitcoin so including it in an education institution is out of the question.

What do you mean by 50-50 by chance? I can see that it can be approved 100% by the board of chairs by different schools. It's in the favor of the economic subjects as they can include bitcoin or crypto currency for those courses or include it for the minors subjects. The world is now generic, generic in terms of technology there's a need for everything to upgrade and include in subjects in college like bitcoin economics.

yeah i think it would be better if they could implement it as a college course because its also related to money just like business marketing course so they can teach your more about trading and how to be a pro trader and also some crypto related lessons so that we can have a deep understanding about blockchain and how stuffs work

I have a slight different viewpoint. We both want to make BTC known to the world. Why not ask YouTube channels to make shout outs about it or at least tell their fans about cryptocurrency and its advantages. Again, colleges could hold seminars to teach students about net-banking and investing money online. It is not yet available in my country, but some people are aware of its influence. Some have even started investing. Yes, informing kids is a good thing but they also get exposed to the vices of the internet like Gambling and transactions on the deep web. A seminar or workshop should be specifically held to enlighten then to stay on the safe side of the Bitcoin world. However, it shouldn't be a subject or a part of their curriculum, that's going too far lol.

I disagree because bitcoin would not be a course. I guess bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies will just be studied more by other people. They are also going to be curious if how this tokens are made and what are the things we needed in able to make one. But maybe it could happen in the near future, that bitcoin would be a course but ofcourse the goverment should accept first bitcoin inside the country in order to make this things happen.
Yes, I’m in your side, and I also disagree. Bitcoin shouldn’t be a course in school, because there are much important things to study than study bitcoin. If you want to know about Bitcoin, then you get into Computer Engineering. That’s way you’re likely to come across bitcoin, but not in school.

I don't think that Bitcoin will be an appropriate course in those kind of Programs which is related in IT. And what will be the coverage if it is one? As far as I am concern everything in Bitcoin can be learned just by going through the internet, and you really don't need to have a professor to teach something like that as it is totally out of the curriculum for the majority of the courses. It can be a lesson in one subject but it cannot be one course for a whole term because it is just a cryptocurrency which is not related to any programs.

I agree with you and you have some point about the those things. Learning bitcoin doesn't actually need a professor or a teacher to teach how to do things in bitcoin because they can do it by their own by searching in the internet and studying by the help of the tutorials that can be found in the internet and i know that it is a faster process to learn in the internet rather than in school because when you are in the internet then you have limitless source of information.

Yes you're correct because not every countries in the world agrees with bitcoin some of them are banning bitcoin to their country. If there's any chance of teaching bitcoin in college it is a good start for the young people to earn something and doing something worthwhile.

I once came across this advertisement where one university was making a presentation for new students based on crypto-currencies , I am not sure whether or not they have a subject based on crypto-currencies but most probably it was just a presentation for freshers and nothing much.I believe that will at least help a few people who attended that seminar but most of students don't like seminars and sleep during seminars,I have my personal experience for that.

In our country we have not put bitcoins as a course or a subject. But still, I have known many students who are using bitcoin in our country and I think that they are self-taught and discovered bitcoins through research in the net. I think making it as a subject in computer courses can be helpful for those students who have the potential in using online currency (actually everyone has the potential to use it) and understand more about bitcoin.

I'm suspicious of bitcoin getting integrated into economical studies, since every economics student or teacher I have ever met talks negatively about bitcoin "be careful of taxes", "it might completely disappear". I think many decades will pass before considering it to become an entire uni course. I do however believe that blockchain technology will soon become available in computer science programs in university, once the technology has been completely mastered by enough people Smiley
