no, my country still doesnt recognize bitcoin, its not even featured in news but to adding crypto currency in information technology is a great idea, also in buisness course since its another form of currency that online marketing can take advantage of.

Something similar happens in my country, I take the time to watch the news and even shows that have economics as its focus and I have seen bitcoin named only once so it is obvious they do not care enough to mention it despite the huge earnings that we have gotten in this year.

in my country there is bitcoin as well, but not for course or technological material but bitcoin to pay college, because from bitcoin we get profit ..

Bitcoin as a course or any related currency on web.
In my country we have multiple courses in computer especially programing and web developments. My course is also information technology, but i've never heard or learn about online currency as bitcoin. In present, and future studies is there any chances for inserting about it in education. In your country is it available?
It would be better for any country to adopt bitcoin in educating new generations. Instead of playing games and wasting money in surfing xxx sites.

Most bitcoin users are college students, because they are less important than others to pursue gambling. I'm a college and take a course, BSIT and we're just about the same, you know you do not know what to teach about currency, in college. Bitcoin is important for most college students without permanent work. So if they had no budget for the entrance they would expect bitcoin .

there already are a few courses at certain institutions that have actual block chain curriculum, but you would be hard pressed to find a bitcoin specific course.


as we shift more towards tech rather than refining/production, block chain technologies, or at least block chain focused software development will become more prominent.

it is still too new, however. no one has really spent a full career in bitcoin yet, there are few true 'experts' in this field at this time. when the discipline becomes more fleshed out; more concrete, them maybe someone will be able to offer an accredited curriculum that addresses us

i see it more likely that finance students would be educated by bitcoin; the alt markets are really good practice on how markets work (even if it is a bit exaggerated  )

It is a little more of necessary than shocking at all. United States of America even I have doubts on they're government and its policy towards other issue but in technology and its adaptation toward bitcoin is a worth to praised. Well done 👍.

very lucky people who can go to school in these places. hopefully, school-school in my country can follow and apply the system already done in one of the University in the United States is because in my country too many bitcoin users who are status as a student.

Bitcoin in college is a50-50 chance. Which mostly depend upon Academic interest. It can be an interesting subject in college. It helps students to konw about the online hidden currency and its uses. It can be take part a great role in their life.

Yes you're correct because not every countries in the world agrees with bitcoin some of them are banning bitcoin to their country. If there's any chance of teaching bitcoin in college it is a good start for the young people to earn something and doing something worthwhile.

Bitcoin is an advanced technology in financial system and it should be formally researched ,
I believe there's a lot of people stidying bitcoin formally in their college ,
But not officially have set as a standard science to be studied.

My seems that next any time bitcoin can be a part of the discussion in many college classroom. Though some of the country are not accept bitcoin. I think every countries in the world accept with bitcoin it will be important subject to the college classroom.

I think bitcoin is not yet legal world wide, so it would be hard to consider it as a subject or a course in college or universities. It should be somehow related to computer subjects and it should be taught to students so they would be aware of it. If this happens, I think more and more people would be willing to invest and learn about crypto currency.

Actually, Princeton University teaches Bitcoin through an online course both on their MOOC platform or through Coursera. I did watch the classes 2-3 years ago and it is really good with a good technical level. I do think it would fit as a term course in computing since the Bitcoin protocol has pretty interesting stuff. Also, Bitcoin (or crypto) economy would be a good topic to discuss on colleges (Economics/Finance). Why not?

In my university there is a lot of students who knew bitcoins but only using this forums and it was a mainstream to earn money in our school through this site.

I don't think that Bitcoin will be an appropriate course in those kind of Programs which is related in IT. And what will be the coverage if it is one? As far as I am concern everything in Bitcoin can be learned just by going through the internet, and you really don't need to have a professor to teach something like that as it is totally out of the curriculum for the majority of the courses. It can be a lesson in one subject but it cannot be one course for a whole term because it is just a cryptocurrency which is not related to any programs.

This is my opinion as well, people put too much weight in college education, and while it has value not everything needs to be learned in college or a school there are many things that you can learn on your own without the need of a teacher, use the Internet everything is there.

No offensement to gamblers but I know college students who are fond of gambling online and that's because of bitcoin. We know gambling, it's so addicting. I just hope most of these students can handle their studies well even they are gambling or even they are into crypto. I also hope that if crypto will be introduced to college, they will also know how to control ones self in terms of the disadvantages of this thing.

There are several courses that teach about the blockchain technology. Also several projects have been made by the students to submit for their final thesis based on the technology. Even in several commerce lectures, students were taught about bitcoin and other digital currencies. Maybe in the upcoming days more college will start courses teaching about bitcoin and blockchain technology.
