Do you agree in death penalty?

I believe that we just borrow our lives from God. And He is the only one who have right to take them away from us.

There are some people who dont deserve to live at all, look at a scenario of how a person kills over 20 people for God knows what, This kind of person doesn't deserve to live and must dealt with with the Hammurabi code of law.

It's true they don't deserve to live, but not always it's their fault. We can't judge their actions because we don't know their past. Maybe they diserve to die, but killing them would make you better than them?

I don't agree, it's a hard topic. And i think even if the crime was so hard death wouldn't be the solution.

It's the most common argument. We can let them live, but who will is going to pay for it. Keeping serious offenders in prisons is very expensive and dangerous, as those who know they're in for life will usually try to fight and kill other inmates and guards. If there's no death penalty there's no stopping them. The only idea that comes to my mind would be keeping them on an island, far from civilisation, and throwing down food from a plane. Let them form their own society or kill themselves. If the latter should happen, the sole responsibility will be theirs.

If death penalty isn't an option (which legally it shouldn't be due to abuse potential), I'd prefer sending them to drug-assisted therapy. There are substances which in combination with proper therapy could actually rehabilitate just about anybody.
With decent surveillance they could be let out into the public again, or alternatively live in an "offenders" city which could be a self-sustained and productive kind of shadow society. That way they would not only not cost the tax-payer in the long-run, but actually benefit society as a whole.

OK.. So you are saying that the murders and rapists must be set free without any punishment? I can't agree with that. Even if it is not "eye for an eye", if someone commits a crime and harm another human being, then he needs to be punished.

yes im in favor of death penalty. I believe that this is an effective way to dicipline people especially to those who are law breaker. But if we execute this punishment make sure that the person who are responsible for the crime is truely justified.

Of course god has the right to take our lives but god don't punish a person immediately after he/she commit a sin, god has made a system that punishment will be given on the day of judgment or the last day of this universe. If we wait for that time then the world would become a hell to live in due to some criminals, so in order to safe other people from the evil of criminals we should punish them in such a way thay others will get a lesson from it and will never do such crimes im future.

I agree with you. However, there's also a side of me that support death penalty. Capital punishment is only given to those person who committed a great crimes such as murder, genocides.They will not be in death row if they only committed a simple crime. It is life that they take away so it is just right that they deserve death sentence. It's like an eye for an eye and a tooth for a  tooth. There's no place on earth for those murderer and it is best to end their life before they kill again rather than just imprisoning them in cells. Some people might be against to my opinion and to death penalty itself but i bet they will change their mind once their family was harmed or killed.

Sometimes I agree with it too when I watched the news and saw dead people who killed by those murderers but we're not in the right place to take their lives too. And what if the suspect is really not the killer? And some criminals now can easily use money to hide their identity. Sometimes their hiding on those who are in politics. I don't have enough knowledge about it so I think Im not in the right place.

100% agree, the more gruesome the death being handled the better. No one have to die if just everyone can follow the laws and norms. Death to rapist, drug manufacturers, murderers and child molesters. Feed the rapist to the lions and tigers and televise it. Send the murderers to war missions.

Nobody should be killed??? Do you think you can persuade the families left by their family member that been murdered by criminals? Do you want to let the criminals run freely knowing that maybe you'll be their next victim? It's legal on some other countries 'cause they know the consequences.

I agree with death penanlty provided that it undergoes proper judgement. Many might not agree with it but as for me, it is one way to discipline people since some of us take laws for granted and lean on the idea that we can just pay the people in the office for our freedom. But if we implement death penalty and be really strict with if, there is a big possibility that crime rate might go down.

Yes you are correct He is the right one to get our lives because He is the one who gave it.  But in this time wherein senseless killing seems epidemic, I think it is right.  I do not know.  But how will these people will be afraid of the law if there is nothing to be afraid of.  They can even kill their own blood and even raped it.  So, do these kind of people still have the right to live?  Well, yes, they are but will they ever change?  How about their victims?  God has the right to take our lives, but why did they kill those innocent lives?

Personally, I don't want to kill someone. Life should not be taken away artificially. But there are some crimes which should not go unpunished. May be extreme crimes on Innocents, the judging process for these kind of cases will be complicated but I think it is valid for them.

Yes I agree with the death law. Because basically my religion applies the law of death to serious offenders. But in Indonesia is not enforced.

Not at all, death penalty is a blessing for some of these guys.
