BTW, I have managed to build Linux wallet by using dev's installation notes on Ubuntu 16.04 successfully. I first tried to build on Ubuntu 14.04 but failed, googled around and found problem could be the issue of openssl, trying to update the openssl version but no idea how to override old openssl version.

Network hashrate = 637khps at block 211. One question: how to check my hashrate?

Looks like we currently dont have a hashmeter.  I just ported Bitcoins gethashespersec into the wallet.

This will be available in the next build.

Once released, you will be able to see it from 'getmininginfo'.

Was mining last night and when I woke up the wallet was still running. Give the computer a quick restart and now I'm getting no block source available with 8 peers available. Tried restarting the wallet a few times and no joy.

Sounds very religious, but interesting, I'm sure with that name, this coin will have a lot of devotees, it will certainly help the promotion indirectly, a good idea, hopefully go well

I think we need a few more external nodes.  If anyone wants to volunteer, just open port 40000 on your firewall, and send me your DNS address, and if it passes from my office, I will compile you in our DNS seed.

Note : We have 123 connections on the external node, so things appear to be positive.

I've got a wallet mining and have a question.

It says Amount and Rounds: 1 000 Biblepay / 2 Rounds

The transaction register is empty and available, pending and total balances read 0.

Did I mine 1000 coins but they aren't confirmed yet? I have one miner where Amount and Rounds: is just zero but another miner shows 1000 so I guess that must mean something?

So I started mining again and this time I was in front of the computer. It seems if you run it at a higher number of threads it will crash. If I run it at setgenerate true 14 it'll work for a little while but setgenerate true 10 seems to work but won't push my cpu to 100%. Anyone having any success pushing the miner? Was thinking of spinning up a VPS but don't want to waste cash on something that isn't mining properly.

For those who are Bitcoin techies, you can also read the message in our getrawtransaction txid 1.

Im running 25 threads full bore and not crashing, please give us last info from the debug.log if it is useful, right exactly before it crashes next time.

Also, if you are 32 bit or 64 bit, and what OS.

I'm running the miner on three rigs currently. Two of those get unstable if I go above 2 threads/core, the third is stable up to 3 threads/core. All three rigs seem to fluctuate between 80-100% CPU usage. Without a command for checking your own hash rate, it's hard to say if increasing the thread count above this would be beneficial or detrimental, in any case.

Definitely still room for improvement in the miner. For now I'd just experiment and figure out the optimal thread count for your system, since it seems to vary.

Mined another block last night, so the updated miner does seem to be working properly in that regard.

Hi I'm following the instructions at https://github.com/biblepay/biblepay/blob/master/BuildBiblePay.txt . I have compiled the files (finished the "sudo make" step), but what do I do now?  I've never run a linux wallet before.  How do I run it, download blockchain, get an address, and start mining?  I'm on ubuntu.

I cleared the debug log and restarted the miner with the higher thread count. Will post the logs once it crashes again. Computer is running windows 10 x64 with an i7-7700k and 32GB of ram.

You can cd src, then run .biblepay-qt
Then set up the computer to mine, and set the proc limit.

It's quite nice idea, but PoB is reffering to Proof of Burn, which was introduced in Slimcoin.
Now you introduce Proof of BibleHash, it can be mistaken, with Proof of Burn.
You could change maybe your method of minting to PoBH shortcut dev.
Because all over internet it's quite known that PoB is Proof of Burn, and if your topic and site will be indexed in google, it will be mistaken quite easily. Slimcoin exists from 2014, so it's quite long time.
