but isn't sharing your wiifi a really bad idea and also using wifi from another untrusted source another?

I mean am sure i read something about people getting hacked when they used wifi that was pretending to be legit.

We have taken as series of precautions to maintain safety and security of users like the app does not show the password, it just securely and directly connects to the network. That is still years away and not at all guaranteed. It will require approval of the world's governments and huge investments which makes it uncertain to say the least. And even then, people will still use WiFi networks, all the service provider companies won't go bankrupt overnight
