The rating system will be pretty important since there will be quite some bad connections. I hope there will be auto elimination or at least harsh campaign against poor rated WiFi spots.

Yep agree that people will try to misused it and something like auto elimination based on poor rating sounds really cool.

It will depend entirely on the buyer to chose the WiFi provider he would like to pay according to his ratings. Maybe someone would want to take a chance with a low rated provider for offering a lower price. We do not plan to interfere in the free market and want to keep it open.

"the user can upload passwords of the Wi-Fi connections from the "WiFi" tab as shown above. The user is awarded 100 WiC per correct password uploaded in order to grow the network initially. The user will also be able to set a custom price in WiC for each of these networks. Anybody who wants to connect to these networks will have to pay this amount and it will be credited to the original password uploader. This gives an added incentive to people for not changing the password and helps the community grow larger."

Let's say I want to set up a Wi-Fi spot and have guests pay WiC per x amount of data. Does WiC provide a system for that? Or is it up to the Wi-Fi owners to develop a system that automates the process of the measuring data usage,  managing the passwords and processing the payments?

Hey, at the moment the WiFi user pays a one time fee for the network but we plan to introduce a feature where the uploader will specify a minimum and maximum time and data limit for the connection and the buyer will be able to see this before purchasing.

Hey, so the way the app is made anybody having the password of any WiFi can upload it. But we will have a point in our terms and conditions that anybody uploading a WiFi confirms that he is the owner of the WiFi or has express permission from the owner to upload it.
