Good sign: MT4 market watch jumped to 23:46:41 but still frozen. There were 4 eth and 4 btc trades on mt4 (eth dropped to $200). Market watch then jumped to 23:57:21 with 10 btc trades total.

BTC-e twitter followers increased by another 1% Cheesy

An outage this long is going to tank their credibility.

It's ok to have problems, but you need to keep the public informed as to what's happening.

Bet there is a bank run on them if and when they come back online.

Probably maintenance. It updates status on social media too often.

They do have an issue but with their data center this is what they say. The problem is you are able to ping the website btc-e.com  and traceroute too! so in this case, is it really a data center issue? Just before it went down a sell order was placed worth 414k BTC

They have been down for half a day and not even a placeholder page saying what's going on, just the default cloudflare broken server page. That's not very professional.

There is no way I am going to trade on BTC-e if they can't even put up an announcement after all this time.  I used to love that place too for how loose they are, but guess that is the price you pay for unprofessionalism.

I understand the fear when exchanges go down, but I don't believe this has anything to do with a hack. It might be them having messed up something when preparing for a possible split scenario, or they were expanding their server base to offer people a better overall trading experience. I have been using this exchange since early 2013, and have never had any doubts about their credibility, even though they remain quite in the background compared to other exchanges. I currently have +$10,000 in fiat and +5BTC sitting in my account there. I am however a bit frustrated that I can't buy at these lower levels. Lips sealed

Guys I have btc.com wallet and electrum on my phone. Which is the most secure to store my btc for the immediate future? Should I create a paper wallet fast and store them there to be 100% sure?

Get it off your phone for starters, immediately. Move all your BTC to a paper wallet and use a hot wallet for day-to-day spending. If you're sure your phone isn't compromised at the moment then use that for a hot wallet.

Thanks, will do. Better safe than sorry even it takes a bit more time.

That address is BTC-E cold storage? How does he know that?

And how does he know that whoever is moving coins is using mixer?

Panic, panic, panic. I have been a user on btc-e since 2012, and so far they always came through.  I am not advocating for them, but c'mon this happend before that they are offline for maintenance. They already announced that there is something going on since they increased the number of conf to 6, and I know this is because of the upcoming changes. But for those changes, I am very sure that they have to upgrade their wallet and stuff - imagine the simplest thing. Something goes wrong and you have to download the whole blockchain again? This takes ages, doesn't matter on what kind of connection you are. I would wait 24 hours before panicking. We have witnessed bitstamp being offline for days, we lived through that, I am sure we can live through this.
