I don't think btc-e intends on running a wanted criminal website, they rely on seeming like a professional business otherwise other fiat partners cannot do business with them.

The domain going down was a signal of the intents of the US Government, they don't just want to fine BTC-e but they want it shut down. They can't run an exchange like this.

It's not like the pirate bay where some governments are going to have disagreements over what technically counts as piracy or whatever, it was a huge money laundering operation even if many legit users got caught up in it, there is no chance they will return.

They were identified a a money laundering operation.
Criminal organisation are not able to file for bankruptcy.

You will first have to hear where the coins and the funds are.
I bet that all eu and us related bank accounts are already frozen but nothing about the coins is sure at the moment.

What i can see here is that btc-e probably fooled us and they build this site https://exmo.me/ long time ago and they knew that this problem will happen. If they still have access to our coins then they will probably end up on this similar website. If they were serious, we should already have a message in our email providing us a way to recover our BTC/LTC/ETH...

Eg just becuase I stand in a room and the people running the room maybe be doing something else, does not touch on my ownership of my property, particularly when the I and the part of the room I am standing in are not subject to US jurisdiction.

They need to know they cannot SMASH and Grab what is beyond their legal borders. Take what is due to them under the limit of their laws only.

I Can prove who I am, no worries, but I have to be upfront about the outcomes::and a few other issues::

I like to be this way because I do not want to over promise, an communicate about my reasons. 

[1] I expect we will cause them a massive headache, and next time they do this they will have to think serious about sequestering funds in the future, when they take down exchange - x

[2] I suspect that who ever is seizing the servers/data, will try and get the private keys themselves by any means possible, and will be long gone by the time the court process winds up.

[3] I expect a lot of it will make it's way to individual FBI officers personal money or similar. Which may work in out favor in some ways.

[4] I suspect this is exactly what happened in the "satoshi" guy in Australian, the Australian fed police turned up the next day, and I am sure a few fed officers now hold significant BTC.

[5] I do expect we will need to explore several legal actions / options, and this will take some thorough legal analysis.

[6] To do this we will need a good US based law firm, or persons of out choice and vet them well.

[7] It maybe better that we do this in the following manner. I stay ANON, but publicly engage various law firms etc. I am open to various views on the best way to structure this. Say we collect an ICO it eth, we can engage the US law firms in eth to do the parcels of work. I can see benefits to being ANON and public.

[8] We need to set up the ICO so it is un impeachable under US-transmitter laws etc.

[9] There going to be a considerable back end to this, eg collecting and to the level of proof any claimants for their crypto as a lost of scammers will appear.

If US prosecutors can prove that Alex got those stolen money directly from that hacker and if Alex used those those coins for BTC-e client withdrawals or to trade them into any exchange, it is then over for him. Any prosecutor will not start operation unless they have strong evidences. Well, Alex is not into chemical weapons business anyway as one another guy was falsely labeled and executed without evidences.

In the US Bitcoin is not money.
If they are going to charge with money laundering they have to talk about the flow of fiat currencies specifically $US
