Dear Bitcointalk users, Where are you storing your funds? To answer that, you should ask yourself, who’s got your private keys? If the answer is “someone else”, then you are not the owner of your funds! You should be the only owner of your funds. This comes with responsibilities and the first one is to make sure to not lose access to your funds. The mnemonic phrase permits you to recover the access to your funds. In this video, we explain to you what is a mnemonic phrase, how this is working, and give you some advice. Also, we explain what not to do! And if you’re going to Twitter, there is even some ZEN to win thanks to this video! Follow @CryptoManion on Twitter to know more about the contest. The video is available in English: https://youtu.be/R72TCNVSHyw And still, en français : https://youtu.be/tXke6ngZWrw

I need one info. How to backup wallet from "Sphere by Horizen"? There is no option through wallet, only manually copy/paste? Where is stored wallet, in which file? There is no regular wallet.dat file. I made some confusion on my computer, installed all ZEN wallet versions and now I have lot of folders in Roaming and app/programs and also on my local folder.

I just noticed that the 9th word of the mnemonic/backup phrase used as an example has been misspelled. Does it matter? To my knowledge, there is no such word. But I still wrote and use the correct spelling instead. Just to let you know that I joined the contest. I have a question, are phrases case sensitive? Take a look at the complete list and the separate batches, there is a word.

Check this link: https://horizenofficial.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/ZEN/pages/724140109/Sphere+6.4+-+Clean+Installation+of+SphereYou can find all location needed to be deleted in case of wallet corruption ... this will give you an ideas where to look. As you can see wallet.dat can be found only in Full mode of SBH, but in light mode all information are encrypted in the wallet file *.awd I just noticed that the 9th word of the mnemonic/backup phrase used as an example has been misspelled. You can check SEED - seedphrase using Ian Coleman tool https://iancoleman.io/bip39/ My advise is to download it and to run it locally on your PC without internet connection if you are checking your own SEED with funds. Also you can confirm that the 24 words are correct, matching them with the bip39 word list https://github.com/bitcoin/bips/blob/master/bip-0039/english.txt

Hi everyone, especially Medar!
It's been a while since I used Sphere, probably it was first release, I remember there was some competition that time
Then I wasn't able to login, and wasn't able to restore my account.
But just recently I started using Magnum wallet, and started to add there crypto-accounts. I found my mnemonic phrase and restored that old Sphere account.
So I was able to restore my modest 0.6 ZEN A small thing, but still better than nothing
So I decided to share this in case somebody had similar problem. And overall Magnum is very good mobile wallet, which I can recommend for everyone, who keeps their Horizen in liquid form!

Hi Medar, the wallet which I used was Sphere, it was the first release (a while ago, just when the first version was released) Last time I used Magnum wallet and with mnemonic phrase I restored this account. And if you ask in general - I used multiple wallets: Paytomat, Coinomi, ZenCash full wallet on laptop which downloaded all transaction history, Guarda, an very recently - SafePay
