Is this built using Zcash? or what privacy features does this have. I am looking for privacy coins to invest in.
- Horizen(ex-ZenCash) was derived from ZClassic (ZCL) which was forked from ZCash (ZEC), which was ultimately a clone of Bitcoin (BTC). Horizen , (no ICO and no pre-mine), and was created essentially to birth a new crypto that could meet the team’s goals and ideologies under their control.
- We've improved on anonymity by creating a secure/super node network where all data is encrypted via TLS which results into traffic being indistinguishable from usual https net used daily everywhere and also strips metadata off.
- Super Nodes introduced side-chaining, and they are able run a bunch of different services.
First service what was justified or was the motivation for creating those new classes of nodes was to migrate the logic for the Secure Nodes tracking and payment system on to chain, and this is very important for the future of architecture of system so make it more censorship resistant.
** Secure and Super Nodes provide Horizen with a great deal of well distributed ledgers which drastically improves our censorship resistance but most importantly, the node network forms the foundational infrastructure that we are currently building a sidechain platform on top of.
- The plan is to release the SDK alpha and reference sidechain testnet in Q2 which will enable users to start designing and building applications on top of Horizen.
- In parallel we are working on many other tasks such as implementing of DAO, BlockDAG..
