When is the algorithm change? I want to get video cards.

Save your money man, or use GPU to mine another coin. There will be no change in the algorithm. Zen team might be right long term to don['t change it, but short term is a disaster.

If you like Zen, mine another coin and trade it for Zen. With electricity costs, you'd be losing money mining zen. Only thing mining it right now is Asics so don't even bother competing with that kind of hash

what wallet release should i have? been mining to my wallet for 3 months without looking at if i have the correct wallet.

if i need to update wallet to get a securenode, how do i download the updated wallet? do i just download it or do i need to delete some files?

Your mined coins are stored on blockchain and you have access to them via wallet if you have Private keys!

Whatever you do, please first backup your old wallet!

Can you back that argument up with some evidence? Current value could be the end result of multiple factors.
