Interview with Horizen’s Rowan Stone

https://www.coinbureau.com/interview/horizen-rebrand-zen/

Coin Bureau are one of Binance's official coin review partners.
The interview presents very detailed chronological history of Horizen, from ZenCash beginning to Horizen Brand expansion, and some key points on Scaling and Governance aspects on Horizen platform in terms of Q/A presentation.
This one is very helpful, informative, and one of fundamental article on ZenCash/Horizen (for now) which newcomers should spend their time to read at first.

We have been notified of an ongoing SCAM on Facebook created by a page called "ZenCash Crypto"

This page has absolutely nothing to do with Horizen nor any member of the Horizen team, please treat with extreme prejudice.
We will do everything we can to have it taken down as soon as possible.

Horizen: Q&A  Robert Viglione

Quote
12. Are there plans in the future to completely move away from POW into full POS?

We don’t have plans to abandon POW right now, but of course our scientists and engineers are already considering alternatives. We have to consider all options for innovation and growth, and there are some excellent reasons to consider POS, or even other alternatives. Our first experiment with POS will be on our sidechain system. Our mainchain will remain POW, but our first sidechains are being designed as POS systems for massive transaction throughput and to leverage our large node network as certifying agents. Future R&D will explore POW alternatives, but for now we feel POW is the most secure and battle tested system.

What's the status on plug and play secure nodes?

Didn't know that this was in plan, but it would be awesome. At the moment, even if the documentation is re-written there are way too many steps to follow in order to create a secure node.
Compared to other masternode coins, ZEN is the most difficult to create.

There are some node hosting services that work pretty well. Chainsaw ninja and cryptonode just to name a couple.

All you need is the prerequisite number of zen in a pubkic wallet address and you're good to go.

The community is (generally speaking) happy to see such services launched as it shows the growing interest and it helps the ecosystem.
I have neer hear about a scam service so far,  however there are some with a good background, if you check the discord channel you may find some discussion about it.

Most node host services for zen are part of the community and zen is purposefully set up in a way that you don't need to share your private key to use these services, so your funds are safe.

Here is an interview with chainsaw: https://medium.com/@jtoownus/chainsaw-ninja-a-zencash-secure-node-hosting-service-364bb43b01dd

Here is interview with 'thesesecurenodes': https://medium.com/@jtoownus/interview-with-thesecurenodes-df016fcb7f0a

I've been using 'cryptonode' and no complaints. Provided payment for hosting with zen, and node payments have been coming through no problem Smiley

Yes, I know but this time I posted it with plan (brief info)

By the way today in Blockchain Hub I met the person who came to speak briefly with Robert Viglione on BlockchainUA and asked me to translate (as he doesn't speak English). At that time he was thinking about node and today he said that he got a node!)
