Datum is going into healthcare? That is funny, I remember discussing medical data in this thread. Well Datum, good luck with that, you have just opened Pandora's Box.

Where did you find something about healthcare ?

I bought that non-disclosure information from the Datum developer's private account on the Datum platform Wink

Really? Nothing heard of it before. Healthcare is a difficult thing, since there are not so many competitors on the market, who could be interested in your data (excluding normal companies who are selling medics and so on, these I count under "normal market") my first thought was insurances.

Hospitals. Here's a recent story about addressing that market need:

http://www.ibtimes.co.uk/datum-blockchain-encrypts-hospital-records-enables-faster-processing-emergency-cases-1644304

Thanx for the link. In some European countries patients in the health care have already an national electronic dossier, so if you go to a new hospital, they can see your medical history. I think this is very important, but its only in your own country. It wont help you if are travelling, or working abroad.
I didn't know that but it's seems like even greater opportunity for Datum platform. Patients could manage their personal data in very convenient way Wink

Hi guys! I participated on the presale some months ago when 1Eth was worth 15.000 DATG which I got already in MEW since months. Now I read things have changed and 1 ETH will be worth 25.000:

"After discussion with our community we think the best approach is to change the ETH to DAT rate. Any contributors that already participated in the Datum Presale will receive increased amounts of DAT accordingly.
The adjusted rate and hard cap will be as follows:

Total DAT Supply: 3,000,000,000

DAT sold in Token Sale: 1,530,000,000

Rate: 1 ETH = 25,000 DAT

Hard Cap = 61,200 ETH" https://blog.datum.org/datum-update-98f4b7dffd3f

Will we get the new amount automatically to our address? Also will the bonus be credited to these new amounts? Would like some clarification for this. Thank you!

Cool, very glad I invested in the presales! I kinda hope the price drops after the initial listing so I can buy even more, datum is operating in one of the fastest growing markets in the world. Out of curiosity, when can we expect to see the extra coins in our wallet?

$1.5M (USD) raised in presale. This is very impressive. How much do you guys think Datum will raise with their ICO? And will they hit the cap?

Its very impressive, some ICO"s dont get that number after a week of ICO. The whitelist of Datum must be very big with their marketing skills!

There have been a lot of discussions about how Datum will deal with falsified data and how they will be verified. I came up with the idea that the developers of Datum would not be bad to establish contacts with the Tierion project, which is now in the final stage of testing:
Quote
Tierion is using the blockchain to transform how the world secures and shares data
The blockchain is becoming the new standard for trust and verification of data. Tierion turns the blockchain into a global platform for verifying any data, file, or process. Use Tierion’s API and tools to anchor a permanent, timestamp proof of your data in the blockchain.
This is also a very large project that has connections to Microsoft and Phillips. I think that such cooperation will benefit Datum.

I must admit, haven't heard of Tierion before. But if it can really be a solution how to verify the data, that gets sold with Datum, it is worth a shot that Datum get in touch with the devs of Tierion.

It looks like a huge discount. This is a 40% discount. And in this connection, the developers decided to do this? Are unsure of ICO success?

You can stop sharing and the data will be destroyed. You decide what you want to share and for how long.

If it is stored on a blockchain (which i think it is), that would mean it can never be deleted. But it would be encrypted and possible stored (in pieces) over multiple nodes, so it should be safe

You can't, but you can encrypt it so that no one but you can access it. Kinda like writing it on a piece of paper and burying it somewhere only you know

I can live with that. for me it just depends what my data will cost an information aggregator like google.
