...

when did you last used the stake? make sure did you log in using any mails that appeared to be sent via stake and also check whether your other wallets or keys are secure if not try changing it to some other system or  drive for safety if every other thing are safe just make sure did you make a login to stake through links from external sites or using any free VPN services
Unfortunately what happened to him already happened and there is no way to bring it back but it could be used as a cautionary tale at least to other people who do not have 2FA or any other stuff.

We live in a world where you can have apps on your computer (offline apps with no internet connection) that you can store all of your passwords and generate strong ones and basically you can just open that app whenever you want to go online and all your different usernames that is unique for each website and all of your unique passwords to each website will be on that app so you have no chance of forgetting it, they even store your old ones as well and new ones so that if you forget which one it was you have ALL the passwords you used for that website. It helps you both have awesome passwords that are hard to crack and unique to all websites you use so you get thousands of different passwords but it also helps you remember them all as well.

He created another thread in the gambling section about why his TRX balance disappeared. Upon investigating it turns out he used the exact same username and password for all his sites, maybe even his email. He first started to blame Stake and saying it was some bug and wanted a refund.

Then it turns out that you can't withdraw $2 worth of TRX so most likely the hacker kept gambling hoping to hit the min withdraw amount but ended up losing the entire balance. Stunna already replied in that thread. He also admitted to not using 2FA. And after all this he still wants to get a refund.

You don't need to keep an offline password manager, you just need to use a different password for every site and use 2FA. It would be way too hectic to type of a unique password if you are using over 100 different website, this is why most people just use the password manager in their browser with 2FA.

It's always unpleasant when issues like this happen, but I hope users understand that the blame is not to be put on us since we've done all there was for us to do to provide you with ways of securing your accounts so now it's only up to you what you will do with those options.

If you care enough about your account security, you will set a strong password that is not and was not used on other platforms, you will furthermore verify email, and, most importantly, you will enable two-step verification. If you have issues setting any of the just mentioned security options, ping us on Live chat or email: support@stake.com , and we will assist you further.

You may now also always check your current sessions, and if you notice something odd, make sure to change your password right away because that will log out all the active sessions, and contact us.

Here is the link to the sessions: https://stake.com/settings/sessions

Even with all of these security measures in place, we still cannot guarantee your accounts' safety since if you yourselves give out your login credentials, you will, therefore, give your account to the hacker.

The most "popular" ways of stealing login credentials are (at last from my experience so far) through third party bots and scripts, especially those that "guarantee your balance will double/triple if you deposit x amount of coins and use that specific script in your console", so please be extremely cautious!

There are also those malicious ones that will change the address to which you are trying to withdraw your funds, meaning that your funds will end up on some totally different address from the one you sent them to. It would be great if you would always double-check the address, just to be sure it's the right one.

Don't use any such bots and scrips if you are not very well acquainted with their creator, or else you may end up with your account being compromised and your funds lost.

Please act responsibly when it comes to the safety of your login data, account, and funds, and be ready to take responsibility if you are not.

We have a years-long impeccable reputation and we are doing our best to maintain it. Those who've been with us from the very beginning know what I am talking about here and I believe they would agree with me.

We are always here for you so don't hesitate to contact us at any time, either on Live chat or email. Smiley

Stay safe!

That's right having the same password for all or most of the platforms is always very risky having that password manager is one of the best possible options available right now so do you suggest any of the best such apps? or the ones do you use just might help others to save some time in searching for those or filtering some

Avoid using LastPass, 1Password or any other online tool. Use KeePass instead, it works offline and it's open source.

Write it down on paper is the safest tool.

Didn't realize there was a person named KatarinaS that worked with stake as well, I saw this wall of text and saw the talks about "us, we, our" and so forth and I was like who is that person? Checked his history and looks like he only talked about stake and only a few times so far, wasn't really expecting a newbie account defending stake like they are really involved but turns out katarinas is not really a bitcointalk part of stake team so didn't really feel the need to be here all the time I suppose.

Well, on behalf of all stake.com lovers here on bitcointalk welcome back and hopefully this time you wouldn't really give a too much break and you would join our talks, we would love to have as many stake team members here as we can so we can discuss more stuff that symphonized allowed to discuss.

yeah there is a katarina named support on stake and on pd ( primedice )  but not sure if the one posted earlier is her legit account because she is ony a newbie and there is no way to proved it for now but she might be a newbie on here because he was busy on his job on both sites . also there is also symphonized on here and other stake staffs/ambasadors that can answer people queries if ever they have some questions   Wink  . katarina above might only refer to stake users to secure thier account for safety

Hey. Smiley

I am actually one of the members of the Stake.com Support team so that is why you will find me posting on this thread mostly and that is also the reason why I am talking about "us, we, our" when referring to Stake.com.  Smiley

I will surely try to come by more often in the future, and hopefully my colleagues as well.  Cheesy

Somebody just hit a 1000x plinko bet with 1 eth and won 999eth in just under 20 tries.
From when the bet was placed, I looked at the statistics page and they had 6 wins and 13 losses of their bets using ethereum.
So that is quite a lucky day for somebody to win around 23btc worth in crypto on the site for a roll which usually takes 100k tries to do. Smiley

How did you know it was just under 20 tries?
Btw, I also saw this result on the Facebook page of Stake which is extremely surprising, at first I think it's just like something a meme, but hell yeah, it's legit.
What a good time to be alive for this person, a 1 Ethereum bet for Plinko is something like throwing money in the garbage but look at this, a pure gambler indeed. If you are able to bet 1 Ethereum for every roll, for sure, 1 Ethereum is just a cent for this user.

Due to the statistics page for their all time bets done in ethereum in which he won this bet in. They only had 6 wins and 13 losses as I mentioned and I checked their profile page right after the bet was placed so they never did a bet in this coin before this win and they were just playing in bitcoin before hand. They have many more rolls showing now.
But they did rain some of their winnings in 1-2eth sessions and was one of the lucky 10 people who caught their rains. So I received a 1 eth then 5 minutes later a 2 eth one while they were still on a winning streak. Someone said they hit another plinko of 160x of 285eth within the same hour, so this is why they did another rain before withdrawing their winnings from the site.
I believe this was the most someone has ever rained at one time before. Well aleast for the year and a half I have been there. Because 3eth is quite a bit to receive in being lucky enough to catch it if you can. Grin

Smiley

Jesus H. Christ son of Marry, that is a whole lot of money, I can't check dude myself because you didn't provided a link (probably best for safety reasons) but if that dude wagered 1 eth 19 times and in return made that many wins... oh my oh my.

23 bitcoins is over 150k dollars! That is literally enough money to never having to work again in some countries (not in big nations of course) think about all the profits you can get just from its savings account interest rate, even that amount is probably enough to hire a full time worker from some third world country to do whatever you want them to do.

A huge sum of money all together has always shocked me, I have seen big wins, I have seen big amounts, but I have never seen any bigger any quicker in my life before, this dude just takes the cake, the greatest gambling win I have ever seen in my entire life.

I am getting around 200 sat every 10 mins which is not bad at all. I haven't seen any gambling casino which offer this much amount of free money to play. I hope they have necessary restrictions in place otherwise this good offer may be exploit by multi accounts owners and evil minded people.

Just for an addition, other good thing is that we do not need to have zero balance in order to claim this reload. If you are VIP players, this reload can be reactivated once it is expired by sending a request to VIP manager but of course the amount of the reload will always depending on our previous 7 days activities at Stake. The more we wager, the higher amount of the reload.

Hi everyone! My name is Caelum and I've recently begun working for Stake! Some of you may have seen me in the live chats but if not, I'm glad to meet you and I look forward to getting to know all of you. If you have any questions of me, feel free to ask me here, on the live chats if you see that I'm online or alternatively, on our social media platforms! I'll do my best to answer as many questions as I can and help you have the best possible experience on Stake. Just as a brief reminder, reloads are now being given out to players every 10 minutes! Make sure you hop online to claim your reloads as often as possible. Once again, I can't wait to get to know you all either on social media, in the live chats or right here on the forum.
