Because the digital currency has some more great aspects than the centralized one for example when you compare the centralized and the decentralized one of course people will be more attracted by the currency thst doesn't have any control from government or banks it is freedom from oppression, exploit and regulations. Also bitcoin is faster, reliable and secured compared to the debt based system that we are all drowning in. As a result digital currency will continue to grow while fiat will become obsolete.

It is actually not a need, but it is an option for other transaction. It is just a way of adapting into the digital world we have. It is a good option also for an investment just like forex, but of course you have to manage it and be able to minimize the risk. However, in todays time, it is not actually a need because we are now using digital payments even through our actual currencies in our country. We have the debit and credit cards that transacrs digitally.

But then even if the debit and credit card is digital, it is still base on fiat currencies which is inflationary that's why there is a need for a currency that is deflationary and decentralized to protect the system from being manipulated. Bitcoin was created after the 2008 financial crisis and I believe the purpose of Satoshi Nakamoto for creating it is to avoid the financial crisis from happening again by having a currency that is not easily created and limited in value to avoid inflation and devaluation.

We are now living in the modern era where the technology rose up to help people in our daily needs and of course one of it is buying things online, paying bills, pay transaction using the internet and we can't do it without money but the problem is that we can't put our paper money in the computer, phone or other technology that's why we have the virtual currency in order to have a currency we can spend online for easier and fast transaction.

        Lets not say we badly need one, but lets just say that someone got the idea of making one, although it is currently used and so many adopters are now using it as their currency. i think for now virtual currency is very helpful for online transactions, but I do not see the urgency or necessity to use virtual currency in life, while many people still enjoy using cash money to do shopping because it is easier to use than virtual currency

At least fiat is stable and kindly do not take bitcoin as digital currency just like other are ,its a virtual investment asset and its most profitable than from forex or other investment markets.we need digital currency because of two thing,first speed and second accuracy.
