In my opinion and based on what I understand in the book that I have red. Virtual currency is like gold, they are both accepted by everyone regardless of what country they come from. This means that we need a currency where everyone understands in case of a problem in their fiat money which could save them from this such problem. If a country is falling apart so as their currency which means they would need some alternative so that they could prevent it.

For me we need to adapt the virtual currency or the digital currency simply because cash is ab old school thing. And think of all those raw materials needed for the cash to be made. Thats are not all permanently in this world  they are loosing the numbers. So in order to preserve the nature wonders we need to think and adapt the another more convenient way to have currency without consuming all those raw materials in this world. We can make our own our digital ways we can use currency even without cash and that is much easier for us.

I think the world needs virtual currencies simply because technology is getting more and more advanced each day. With the advancement of technology a lot of changes and innovations happen that we need to adapt to. For me : If my money is in a card instead of my pocket and I am able to use that just with a card or with any barcode it is fine.
Using a printed paper doesn't matter.
But in anycase you will have problems with stocking it safely.

After reading different articles from different websites about digital currencies,  the reason that I was able to figure out behind the creation of Bitcoin,  which is also known as the mother of crypto currencies, is that rich guys were in need of transacting their money across the world on low rates at fast speed without interference by government or banks. But with the passage of time many people Started investing in it due to its appealing features and it reached today's popularity.
