Yeah that it's good news, but suddenly Uber here in the Philippines is suspended. So maybe we cannot use bitcoin for the meantime with Uber. Maybe it is more fun if it is also allow with Grab. |

I have one doubt how the uber will collect Bitcoins for our trip, whey because the Bitcoin price is never stable at one rate. It keeps on varying in the high margin. Sometimes when we start our trip, the price is stable, but suddenly it will come down or increased means how it will profit for Uber and user. But this is good advertisement or bitcoins. |

Well that's a good news indeed since Uber can operate even the passenger has no cash but instead with credit or debit card. So I think it's a good transformation because BTC is not only for remittances and payments but also as servicing tips and a lot more.

But the transaction fee plus the rate of meter, isn't that a bit expensive? Anyway, this is a good help for bitcoin because this will promote bitcoin more. I think that's a great idea for everyone especially in the filipinos out there in the Philippines. We all know that uber is very popular in the country of Philippines and also it has a lots of consumers depending on transportation like this. Some are Filipino users here are using transportation like uber and it is very easy now because they accepting bitcoin. I don't have an idea if this is true but i hope it will accept that. |

That's great news actually, but as I read those replies. If my observation is clear that by tipping the driver we can used bitcoin but in reality it will be converted by uber to local currency to distribute to drivers. Uber's has got a great mind at marketing strategies and they might have plans in bitcoin for the accumulated tips.
I won't be surprised at one day they will make it available for paying there services not just for tipping. And it would be huge move, Is uber be one big player someday in crypto currency, would love to find out soon.

I don't have an idea if this is true but i hope it will accept that. correct me if i'm wrong but from what i understand on that tweet. bitcoin is only available on tipping drivers via app. this is great for awareness and circulation but people who tip cheap amounts will not be able to use bitcoin because dust payments are highly discouraged as most likely you will be paying a higher miner fee than the actual amount although its great with decent amounts. |

Well, I agree that its a good news and its quite convinient to people who use uber. In addition to that, if they bitcoin as a payment they can pay their bills easily and it will help those driver who really want to gain income. I also agree that it will help to promote bitcoin. It would be much better if ibwr uses it's own coin. Why is Bitcoin when you can have your entire system with rewards included on their own coin. Those that do not use Uber can buy coins as an investment so it will be like spending shares. That's how altcoins remind me. They remind me of shares or assets. It works well and it's Intelligent and I can see this happening in all kinds of sectors bringing in all kinds of money from all over which creates and generates profit for people so we don't have to work a job.
