Use Captcha -_-

Based on Mac Addresses

Random Captcha after 5-10 Attempts to load the site, or something?
Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

Mac address would be stupid, this is against bots after all.

He will probably just make an IP check. Max 3 accounts per IP.

We used to do an IP check but botters would just use VPN or change their ip.

You can use an IP Check and port check :-)

Check to make sure it's not a TOR NODE, or a proxy (80,8080, 3128, 9999) etc.

If this idea works, don't hesitate to send some donations ;-)

Issue is that some people do bet using VPN's. I'll see what I can do about the bonus. If we found an effective way to do it then I could raise the bonus as well.  Smiley

Who cares if the VPN is being used... VPNs Default on 80,8080,3128, and 9999 and sometimes others.. Do some research on VPNs and block those specific ports from accessing the website ;-) Problem solved

Can't users change ports though? Or is that excessively tricky?

To answer your question.....
No.
They can't open ports if they don't own that server. But there are only certain ports that allow people to browse the site.. You can't just "CHANGE" a port.

Grats to Hardorhome on turning a 20 deposit into a 40 cashout. Was very exciting watching you bet. Watching you go from 30 Bitcoin balance to over 100 in less than 5 minutes was quite intense.

Also, completely new interface which is a lot smoother & visually pleasing is on its way. Should be ready for release in the next week or so Smiley

Please message or email me if you have any suggestions! We love hearing your feedback

Also congratulations to Malevolent and Funky Al, winner of 2 BTC and 1 BTC raffle respectively: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=215749.0;all

Yep, it's up! It's sometimes down for a bit due to abuse. We're looking at a permanent solution within the near future to allow it to be up 24/7.

Let me explain. I join the chat on Just-Dice and everyone said that they were botting PD and asking me why I wasn't. I said that it's not a good idea because it's basically theft. Then someone told me that the owner of PrimeDice said botting is okay, so that's why I did it.

"everyone"?  I saw one or two people in the chat who seemed to think it clever to take advantage of the 0.0001 bonus or whatever it is.  Claim it 100 times and you have what, less than a dollar?  It doesn't seem worth it to me, and it's only going to spoil things for everyone in the long run.

The bonus is so you can try the site out, not so you can rip them off.

Our leaderboard currently consists of 9 users who have wagered over 1,000 BTC (Welcome Hardorhome, Crocs & Mustbeluck), and to celebrate the last spot being filled, we're giving 2 BTC away to the next person to hit 1,000 BTC wagered.

This will be automatically credited to your account when you pass it! Good luck anyone wishing to join in & join the leaderboard Smiley.

With regards to the 0.0001 bonus, the problem with blocking proxy networks / IP is that some people use them for anything Bitcoin related because the anonymity factor is partly why they choose to gamble in BTC rather than fiat. You would end up blocking genuine players. Also I enjoyed using the bonus multiple times, by manually generating and inputing an address like you said you are allowed to do in OP. I did not bot the site because it would not be fair but also Prime Dice is a lot of fun to play. The bonus gives people who do not have very much BTC a chance to play the site for real and occaisonally cash out a very small amount. Prime Dice is very fun and exciting to play and playing with these small amounts means you can figure out how to bet and experiment with some strategies, before one day betting your own BTC. The bonus encourages play but only when manually claimed, bots won't give the user the thrill that genuinely playing Prime Dice does. I think one of the best solutions to overcoming the bot problem is a form of captcha. Once a new address is registered there could be a 'claim bonus' button / link available and this function could incorporate a captcha. As well as solving the bot problem, this would also mean that players not interested in the 0.0001 bonus won't be affected because they can just ignore the 'claim bonus' button / link option. Just a few thoughts, and thanks Stunna for a great site. Smiley

That's an excellent idea, we'll definitely look into doing that. Right now we're working on a new interface and will take that into account when making it.

So glad the suggestion was helpful. Look forward to seeing the new interface. Prime Dice is already a great site. And thank you so much Stunna for your promotions, both the new account bonuses and forum give-aways. They are much appreciated for a relative BTC newbie like myself. Smiley

Hi! I use your casino and enjoy it Smiley I made 0.15BTC with it using different strategies. Really great site!
One thing i did not like is the need to scroll down to look at your previous bets... maybe you can do something about this in the new design? (screenshot of your new design would be great Wink )
Also I find it really hard to play from a smart phone (Yes I know it is not meant to be played on a smart phone)
I wanted also to suggest something about the bonus, but BitcoinBoss beat me to it! I really think a simple captcha is your answer to bots (although more advanced user could overcome this too). Good job and keep it up! Smiley)
