That's not a bad idea considering that the chips are a bit late.  Going to have to push them back a month or two if they don't deliver soon.

Exactly

why no avalon 66GH/S or 88GH/S unit? it is cause they don't open new batchs? And we can't buy?

Hi,

sorry for asking again.

Am i right that the ROI isnt ROI in terms of a percentage gain or loss as compared to the price of the miner? Its just the amount of BTCs that are gained or lost in a certain period of time?

They are still up on the website, but it's not obvious if they actually have plans on selling more.  I have the 88 still underneath the chart..  I'll put it back in if there is more information.

Yes that sounds right.  I must have misunderstood the question last time.

Would you consider breaking up the list into two parts? First section would be miners that are confirmed in production and shipping. The second section would list all the others, be they slow to produce, suspected vaporware, and so forth? Seems liek 90% of the items on your list aren't shipping, and as more companies make their own "announcements" it'll be increasingly difficult to locate the miners that are actually in existance when eyeballing the list.

Just a suggestion! Smiley

WOW! I have spend about a week on this forum reading it back and forth and would never guess that to read nice thread about mining hardware I have to go to the "Mining speculation" subforum as well... IMHO this list needs to be placed sticky in the main mining forum for more people to see... but then again it does fit speculation subforum cause what we really know about it them... nothing just speculations...

You can easily rename it as "Bitmine.ch Avalon Clone" (the same asked by ImI) because they claim to be selling the very same device with just the difference that you can fit from one up to 4 blades, giving 22GHash steps each.
They also offer the "bring your own Avalon chips" service, with slightly different pricing.

Hi FCTaiChi

I see that you have me listed as group buy for avalon chips in your OP. However, we are now also offering a full miner assembly service base on the k16 design.

It would be nice if you could also include it in your table (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=200067.0).

We offer the following:
  • k16 based design miner assembly
  • 4 layers' PCB
  • Electronic components
  • Heat Sink
  • Full assembly
  • Chips are not included

The price for the above service is 60EUR when the chips are bought using our group buy. The price of each chip is currently 0.082BTC.

If the chips are sent from another group buy the price for the miner assembly service is then 65EUR

Miner assembling  is based in Spain.

Thank you in advance.

Basically there is nobody thats shipping a product and also has positive ROI.  Kinda sad.

The "Working Unit" column is for that.  Maybe I should color the 'no's red so it's more eye catching.

looking at your charts - ROI is a worry ---
also all shipping miners have negative ROI !!
Lots of "dogs" in some of these products  --- any time scale slippage may mean negative ROI

Maybe KnCMiner is the only one with a realistic price

I like them, but remember they haven't shown a working product, or proven their ability to make one.
AND they started taking preorders.

Yes I agree

I think what has happened that the Avalon people just got greedy and have put a huge markup on Avalon asics and forcing  higher price on mining products .
KnCMiner have decided on a reasonable price  --- if they get there product out on time this will force Avalon and bfl to drop prices ( I hope)

I pushed all the companies requiring Avalon chips back a couple months.  There is no reason to believe that 9-10wks is a reasonable delivery time, when there are people waiting much longer than that.  If people start confirming that their chips came in, and it looks like the lead time is fixed, I'll change this.

BFL has only shipped .63% of their expected load, from what I've seen.  If someone can give me a link that shows some good reasons for them being so late over and again, or they start shipping I'll add them back in.  Truthfully I didn't want to take them off, but I just can't be a part of sending people to them until I see a logical explanation, and some proof that they have the consumer's best interest in mind.
