This idea is not new. There was a project like this before but I think it didn't push through.
The bottleneck here is that, the movie industry is too complex.
And venturing in this kind of industry, takes time, so much effort and big amount of money.
But if the team members have all the expertise and resources that this venture needs, then, good luck!
While for the potential investors, you might need time/years to see your ROI unless it will be traded fast in the exchanges.

You are right when saying that the movie industry is complex.  However, we are largely inoculated due to the fact that we are developing a streaming platform.  Our success or failure will not be tied to FLIK producing a film.  Yes, will we produce films (and we know how to do that successfully), but our primary income generator will be our streaming service.  It's best to think of us as "the new and improved Netflix".  We have some very unique and original features that we'll be rolling out on our platform.  Our intention is to do to Netflix what Facebook did to MySpace.
