Mmh ... to original post announces a 2.5 minutes blocktime.
As http://phenixcoin.com/ states a 1.5 minutes blocktime, I was suspecting a typo.

But looking at the code, the target blocktime is indeed 1.5 minutes (which means 2.5 days with 2400 blocks for retarget).
The values in the comments in the code are unmodified from litecoin and thus misleading ^^

With the update, the blocktime is still 1.5 minutes, and 480 blocks to retarget corresponds to 12 hours (ideally).
Would be nice to correct the original post Smiley
(and also many sites / pools announcing the 2.5 minutes blocks)

Is it 1.5 or 2.5 minutes per block?

1.5 according to the code, and only the code matters.

I know there was an issue with people getting phantom deposits a week or so ago, so more money was being credited to some peoples accounts then was supposed to.

I have heard that someone received 200K more PXC then they should and took it out. That could mean Cryptsy is short at least 200K PXC.

Its was not just PXC, it was all coins.

All accounts that had this happen, were put into a negative status, but that does not help recover the missing coins.

I fear there are no were near enough coins on Cryptys to cover the deposits currently held.

I am just speculating but that might be the issue.

Apparently there was a runaway deposit program which caused deposits to post multiple times.  All withdrawals, deposits, and trades halted

I think it goes without saying, but Ill say it anyway for you noobs out there, do not escrow via koolio, he is volatile, and has a very unstable history.  You can use phenixcoins FREE automated escrow service via phenixst.com.
I believe you meant to say "he is mentally unstable" and "has a drug abuse history" as he publicly admitted ;-)
Or didn't he? Maybe I just misread him.
