Great job guys. Staking is possible only with masternodes or also by holding coins in the wallet?

It's not PoS : you'll get rewards only with a running masternode. However your coins are locked in your wallet. If you move them out, the masternode will stop working.

I agree! I would like to hear about the plans of the developers to add coins on a big exchange!

Friend are you serious? Lots of pools for mining pirl. Try this pirl.minerpool.net. There is very large capacity.

So I have just started my PIRL masternode and want to share my experience with community. There are some things not mentioned in official manual, but you have to do it on order to make everything work properly. I would not speak about Pirl Poseidon things as everything is clear with official manual. Lets start from VPS part. My manual is for Ubuntu. Probably it is gonna work on other Linux OS as well. Some details you have to do in order to run your pirl MN in proper way. At first ssh your VPS and execute: >adduser pirl
then make random password for pirl user and write it somewhere >adduser pirl sudo >su pirl
just to change user you working under Next: Next we need to make PIRL masternode run on system startup: >nano pirl-env
Next paste this into opened NANO text editor: MASTERNODE="MN Token" TOKEN="Dashboard Token"
Then CTRL+O, then CTRL+X Then we need to add startup script: sudo nano /etc/systemd/system/pirl.service
Paste here: [Unit] Description=PIRL Masternode Service After=network.target network-online.target
[Service] EnvironmentFile=/home/pirl/pirl-env Type=simple ExecStart=/home/pirl/pirl User=pirl Group=sudo Restart=always
[Install] WantedBy=multi-user.target
Then CTRL+O, then CTRL+X.

Then we enable the this script to make it autostart on boot: >systemctl enable pirl
Adter that it's good to check if everything is working properly. Let's go to reboot by «reboot» command. After reboot let's check if pirl node started. Take in mind that at first start masternode needs some time to download blockchain…approx 10 mins or less.

There is no information anywhere on the profitability with the master node, does it make sense to invest 20000$ in this event?

Masternodes get 1 PIRL/block, so approx 6600 PIRL a day, divided by the number of masternodes. eg : 100 masternodes on the network = each one will get around 60 PIRL a day. Means less than a year for the ROI. In addition, masternode will get rewards from the marketplace and payment gateway transactions once they will be released. atm there is 18 active masternodes on the network, around 100 masternode after the beta phase (when rewards will be activated, more people will run MN I guess) seems to be a good estimation, but it's hard to plan, I may be wrong !

Then CTRL+O, then CTRL+X. adding the pirl user to a group named sudo is not needed(and may not even exists on some boxes). people are reporting having to add the user to wheel from this tutorial which is a bad idea. Please edit to say change " adduser pirl sudo" to " adduser pirl" and change in the service config change " Group=sudo" to " Group=pirl"

In case I remove pirl user from sudo so that people would have problems with running systemctl, journalctl, with editing systems start scripts and so on. Thy only way is to make "su root" instead of sudo. What is also a bad idea for newbie to work under root. Sudo is a normal practice in masternodes. It's always used in all the other masternode coins manuals. So...I have just added notice that this man is for Ununtu Linux, and everybody feel free not to use it)
