I think it will never die because it is booming and has great potential in the future. Besides, even if it is lost, I believe there will be a second Bitcoin that will appear and will grow even further.

It might depend on the reason why Bitcoin can die. In case when the death is due to total ban of Bitcoin as done by all governments or regimes then there is a possibility that Bitcoin death can also mean the death of altcoins. Now, if the reason can be other than that or it is within Bitcoin like losing the appeal from the market then there is a possibility that another coin can rise up to take the vacuum of leadership.

Should be worldwide to accept it like a death.
With the appeal losing like you said there is chance it could be revived. It is still there just loss its supporters.
I don't think every altcoin should also come with the fall. Remember when bitcoin goes down the altcoins go suddenly up and that tells it all that a new one will be on the number 1 rank

If bitcoin starts dieing then for sure there will be major changes in the altcoins trading. Bitcoin is mostly traded against bitcoin and I agree to that but there are many more markets which has already evolved and ready to take altcoin pairing for the trading purpose. The most important would be USD or local currency of other nations too for exchanging the altcoins. That market will rise a lot from there onwards.

However, I would like to add that bitcoin becoming dead has got very less chances. As we speak altcoins are being traded against bitcoin is the basis of most of the traded volume into bitcoin. This will keep pumping the bitcoin forever.

that I think is far from a possibility.
and if the end of bitcoin, what will happen is another coin rise in surface. that's something for sure. because they are alternating cycles. as well as with crypto.

As root in the tree will always be related, so altcoin to bitcoin is always related and when the dead bitcoin altcoin will also die, that's what some people think at the moment, but I'm sure there will be altcoin that can survive when bitcoin dies one of them ETH

probably not. currently eth also has its own platform. if bitcoin off, maybe eth will be its successor. besides, bitcoin definitely will not die, and will always be developed. people will definitely look for bitcoin instead of altcoin again. so because of that, bitcoin will not die. and not all altcoin will die if bitcoin is lost.

Nope. There are enough alts trying to do completely different things. Many shouldn't be considered currencies or stores of value at all despite having a price tag attached to them.

The one thing that would be disruptive with a dead Bitcoin would be the markets. I don't know what the gateway currency or prime trading pair would become. It would be figured out in time though.

If Bitcoin was discarded by way of its trust being destroyed, either forking into oblivion or dilution or corporate hijacking, I'm not sure that sets a healthy precedent for any other alt though. If it could happen to BTC it could happen to anything. That might undermine confidence in the entire space.

Yes, I don't think if Bitcoin died that'll be end of all Altcoins because they have different features. Some Altcoins tend to have more features and advantages over original bitcoin in terms of anonymity, speed, and lower transaction fees. Cool

yes i think it difficult that bitcoin will die. because bitcoin is in fact the root of all the crypto currencies, people are giving preference to bitcoin they are making bitcoin more and more stronger by investing more money in bitcoin. therefore i do not think that bitcoin will ever die, but it will continue and will exist for ever.

I don't see the death of bitcoin affecting other altcoins. However, the closest altcoins with huge market cap may be the next target point for crypto enthusiasts. Nevertheless, I do not really see bitcoin dieing as this would really create lots of panic in the crypto world and there is too much at stake in investments already.

As stated right now different digital assets were functioning on different platforms. So each has got its own market dependence, and very rarely the interesting dependence takes place same as that happened today. Majority of the digital assets were declining in value in the morning and by now it has started to pump.

Yup there is no reason to think that bitcoin will be die in future or anytime. May be if any altcoin push forward by the whales all the time then we can see the bitcoin will be a secondary coin in usage wise. Please save the bitcoin and show its demand and supply level to all the people to keep bitcoin stable and increase to big value.

Bitcoin has just started and still has to reach a huge population. It is not dying anytime soon. But if anyhow Bitcoin dies, then definitely the whole cryptocurrency market will die. Bitcoin dominates the cryptocurrency market and is the main medium for buying altcoins. People trust altcoins because of the success of Bitcoin only.

When we think that bitcoin is popular crypto currency right now, then why we think negative ? That bitcoin will be die in future. It mean we have a doubt in our mind and we are not fully accept bitcoin as a future popular crypto currency. But it is right if bitcoin die in future then sure other altcoin will be die, because then people not believe in any other onces.

I think the whole point of this market is decentralization. So, if the more decentralized currency dies, the same could happen to any other.

This is partially right.
Let us assume Case 1 where governments of majority countries put ban on Bitcoin. Then it is automatic that other coins will have to die as there existence will be considered illegal too.
Now come to Case 2. Suppose Bitcoin technologies become outdated and it no longer remains profitable mining it. Sooner or later everyone will abandon Bitcoin chain but on contrary other coins will cherish.

I think with the value, the market and the many enthusiasts it is not possible bitcoin will die. But if the future bitcoin die may have to be seen from various aspects first because this will certainly affect the sustainability of altcoin.
