Good question. But what could really kill Bitcoin? Probably an excellent replacement.. and that would be "Altcoin"...or maybe will not be considered as alternative-coin anymore after relegating Bitcoin to the Altcoin bottom.

Altcoins can exist even there is no bitcoin because they just need to create a good idea for a coin and try to do some advertisement that will help them to let the people know their coin and even bitcoin is falling the altcoin will not completely fall because it has still markets where you can buy some altcoins too for investment purposes.

yes, the possibilities of altcoin to be gone is very high if the bitcoin will be also dead. We all know that the father of crypto is bitcoin and it is known for the first decentralized money. Since, there are many platforms who use bitcoin to be more exclusive. Many ICO depends on bitcoin as their payment.

What will really decide whether Alt will also die, will be what led to the death of bitcoin. If what lead to bitcoin's death is  as a result of successful attack on the block chain and serious compromise to how secure the block chain is, then Alt might not die with it but just take a nose dive to bounce back again but if the death is caused by ban or government then the total death is imminent because government will not singlehandedly go against bitcoin, but the entire cryto-currency.

Most altcoins are priced in btc. If btc dies, I don't see how people would pay USD for altcoins. So, yes.

It depends on the reason.....I always believe that BTC could only die if - and only if - the global network of interconnections (i.e. Internet) dies....so if that happens; all Alt coins will definitely die as well

It might depend on the reason why Bitcoin can die. In case when the death is due to total ban of Bitcoin as done by all governments or regimes then there is a possibility that Bitcoin death can also mean the death of altcoins. Now, if the reason can be other than that or it is within Bitcoin like losing the appeal from the market then there is a possibility that another coin can rise up to take the vacuum of leadership.

ETH is a strong candidate next to bitcoin. I dont completely see that all altcoin would die if bitcoin would die.They can able to stand for sure knowing that they can directly be bought by fiat itself and if bitcoin died because of its anonymity feature and the interest is gone on its users then for sure they would jump on other altcoin which is somehow do have some features like smart contract which is not totally anonymous.

I think altcoin will die but soon enough it will if it doesn't find way in the market like what bitcoin did. As we can see bitcoin is already accepted and ready been use on paying things, some altcoin is just under speculations.

Can anyone really say? It depends on the factor that will cause the death in the first place. If the factor apparently affects the whole blockchain technology as a whole, it will definitely affect the whole coins. However, if it is because it has failed on its own path and ended up giving people the chance to realise more prospects in other coins, it wont necessarily cause its death but probably be pushed down as the number 1. Although I do not see the possibility at all.

If bitcoin should die, then I see a lot of deaths following the death or let's say mass death because even currently when bitcoin witness a crash its just by default that other coins witness the same thing with some even taking percentage hit more than bitcoin itself so imagine if bitcoin then "dies", it simply means no other coins would have survived the whole show. Hmm that is you just being plainly ignorant. That is not the case, Altcoins are not affected to the value of Bitcoin getting such dumps. You see, the only reason why Altcoins get their value get low whenever that coins is being converted to Bitcoin who's dumped in price.

The price of Altcoins has nothing to do with Bitcoin, they have different concepts value-wise that is. Besides you don't have such proof to suffice that statement of yours.

And Bitcoin never die? True, but it will not stay in that seat forever eventually an Altacoin will surpass what the Bitcoin have achieved so far.

I absolutely agree that, bitcoin is a very popular crypto coin and I think if bitcoin die I guess all altcoin also die because bitcoin is the father of all currency and I think they can't stand alone without bitcoin. Lastly, I hope bitcoin would not due because altcoin will also die.
