Holy shit. Aventus public sale sold out within 10 minutes. There seems to be lot of interest in blockchain ticketing solutions.

It would not surprise me if EventChain would pull the same next week. 3, 2, 1 ... it's gone. Smiley Interested investors should better be fast if they want to participate.

Right, looking at the success of Aventus as a similar project gives a good idea how popular a blockchain based ticketing system could be.

We will see, the one who goes first will be the winner in this game, like ebay.
But, it has to be very userfriendly, thats an important point.
It should running without any tech skills from a smartphone like a charme.
Then it will be a success. Dont forget the older people, it must be very easy to use.

But according to the comparison between both projects that was posted earlier, EventChain is targeting more the North America Region, while Aventus wants to focus on Europe. So at first they wont be direct competitors. Maybe when both try to go global, we will see who is going to be the winner in this game.

This project seems interesting, I think this is the first one I see about event tickets and you have a large competent team. The media coverage seems great by the way.

I'll take a look at the whitepaper  Smiley

That graphic is very useful, thanks for sharing.

So main difference is america vs. europe. In ticketing business i will go for America. Much more activity so much more opportunity.

America is much bigger in case of ticketing.
Look at those big sport events where millions are watching and buying tickets.

EventChain will be bigger then Aventus!

True with America, but Europe has also a big soccer culture. But beside that, sports are a small business here.
On the other side, in Europe, especially in Germany (don't know about other countries here in Europe), you have a big concert and festival culture, where a lot of blackmarket tickets get sold.

As both projects are focusing on different areas both will probably also go for a different main market Smiley Anyways, it's good to start in different regions.

Soccer is big but the black market in soccer isnt the same as the sport black market in America, so much more money there.
Aventus will be great by doing concert in Europe and certainly festivals.

Aventus did some very great marketing, I already was involved in Aventus months ago. They delayed there ICO, did some very good blogposts, build a great community. If Aventus would have done there ICO when it was planned they wouldnt sold out so fast. They also had a huge bounty campaign.

This ICO will go very well because its such a good project/platform but will not go that fast.

The transparency in blockchain should propel the next economic boom and partially encourage wealth distribution. Anyway, I love that it will even out the playing field. It sucks that individuals with big bank easily buy out tickets from huge acts within seconds then turn around and sell the aforementioned ticket with a 10-50% markup, the next day.

It is fine, when it doesn't sell out within 10 min.
Fast is not always good. Some investors go to work and could not take part, if it would be in the morning and sold out after minutes Smiley
Its better to have 1000 investors with low BTC, than 10 whales with high BTC.

Ticketing is an industry that really needed a change, and blockchain is a perfect way to do it, now a little competition in the same segment could really help make viagogo obsolete, so events and event tickets will have a rough start, Viagogo and other websites have allocations agreement, so making an already very profitable scam useless will take time, but eventually, the transparency of the blockchain will win in the end, I will give this 2 years for it to change and make event-chain very profitable Cheesy.

On the one hand you want to stop blackmarket tickets, but there is still the option for resellers to sell on your marketplace. How do you regulate this? If someone for example buy one or two tickets for a great event which he can be sure it will be sold out after minutes and then could ask for double the price or something, will there be a regulation on your marketplace?

In the WP is stated that the amount of tickets available for a single purchaser can be fixed. Is this done by the Eventchain platform? Or by the particular event manager?

I can write a book if I start speak on my experience with tickets (went to many live shows in my country and accross Europe). Well this is really needed, I saw too much overpriced fees, secondary ticketing (I've seen many times tickets with 4-5X price as the original price), people buying 10 tickets with one purchase to sell them outside arenas/stadiums etc....

my guess is that either they won't allow tickets to be sold for a markup or there will be a limit placed on the percentage of mark up allowed.

Very good initiative, i like the project. Ticket sell need a crypto application right now, the market is really huge and continue to growth every years. Ticket market need to be more controlled, so sad to have to buy ticket 10 time the normal price or to see expensive fees and couterparty to buy ticket. I think Eventchain is really a good idea and will revolutionate the ticket market, especially with crypto and blockchain application !

Of course, you can also put it that way  Smiley. Actually, I don't have a problem with people who buy 2-3 tickets additionally to their own and resell them to earn a few Euros, but scalpers buying up all tickets and then resell them to the real fans for an outrageous price is imho almost criminal.
