We will definitely release the Android version of the platform as soon as possible. Basically there is no reason to create iOS or Android first. We had to start from somewhere and we started with iOS. There was no preferences. Stay tuned.

I think it's only for IOS ,because there's no mention of Android application in the project's roadmap as you can see..

If you create an iOS and Android app for faster user intervention, Gilgamish's future may be stronger. Although compared to Android users IOS users are not much more than users, but Gilgams can still benefit from North America and the European people because iOS is more than Android.

Both IOS and Android apps is important to us. If gilgamesh needs a lot of investors and supporters to this project they should open mobile wallet in both platforms. But I think creating a wallet on android is much faster than in ios. I hope mobile wallet will be launch soon.

Hi All,

We have decided to move forward with iOS app for our initial release because of the following:

- iOS users are mostly located in North America and Europe, we want to target to U.S users in our initial release.
- Complexity: iOS app development is simpler than Android - There are so many version of Android -- each with their own spec.
- Experience - The current team has more experience in iOS.

However, we don't want to have a huge gap between or iOS and Android release -- that' why we are using React Native technology, which allows us to share 90% of the code with the Android platform.

After a successful iOS release, we can focus on Andriod development and test the functionality thoroughly in all devices.

Again, every team has their own preferences and we have to start from somewhere.

I agree with you bud but regarding your question on why android users always comes to be second priority after ios is simply because Apple has a bigger market while on the other hand android is an open source os for users whuch technicaly means that most users dont avail for any paid service unlike apple.

Wait what? Android has like 8x the market share of iOS. That point is totally moot. Also being open source has 0 connection to availing paid services. Most of the top paid apps are on both platforms and have sales in both places.

Thanks Sherlock.   Now that makes sense.  They'll be needing a large group of people to handle customer support when a problem occurs. I hope it will be popular in iOS device and bit by bit they'll be able to develop something for Android users which I personally believe they are the one who needs an application that can offer cheaper books to read.

I think the team have already iOS and Android version demonstrated in their state and its stated in whitepaper...thats what the project is all about, meeting as much social community as possible. So basically mobile platform is the target here. Dont worry you will have the iOS version am sure

I mean for Gilgamesh the problem is not to attract people who like to read. People who love books will come by themselves. The problem is to attract people who are not very fond of reading. I think the Gilgamesh team thinks about it.

well, the habbits like reading or writing you get mostly in your young ages. I dont think that you can attract someone who never touch a book in his life for reading. May be you can attract some niches for example; fact books for craftsman... but no idea which advertisement system to use to attract those kind of society.

Nowaday we should call our childrens like "Robot children" : they spend several hours for play games on mobile, computer or watching tivi, almost of them dont take care about improve their soul like the past. Maybe because of richer and modern living, parents give their child a best life what they did not have. About adults, hard working with many trouble on life make us dont have time to read books or do something like that. I think we need some project like Gilgamsh what give most convenience and easy to approach everybody.

Can this project add reaching out program to those children who are not able to take formal education? I think Gilgamesh platform will be a way to promote free books for less fortunate children. This probably a big help to them. I really love the amazing ideas of this project and hopefully soon, as you reach the success you will be able to return your blessing to others. Another thing is, make a Gilgamesh app for android version so that many readers and authors can interact with each other. This must be exciting and probably create a big hit on crypto industry.

In my opinion android is faster to use than IOS. Majority of users in the whole world use android because it is an opensource. Not just IOS you cannot buy those expensive phones just to download these apps. So android is much cheaper and convenient to use, and by the way, 80% of all phones are android.

for me I'm more interested in web version, cuz I use my phone only for daily tasks like email twitter, but when I want to read I use my pc. also web version works fine on any device. I think any platform should have web app, cuz not all users will keep mobile apps on their smartphone, most people keep only popular apps like fb, twitter, insta etc.
