Dev thanks for update some fantastic ideas there,I am glad to hear about community chest and block rewards been reduced I have been asking for this myself ,perhaps we could look at reducing supply as well! If not might be better to have an infinite supply which in my opinion sounds better than stipulating a figure in billions, with block rewards halved ‘well slightly more than halved taking community chest into account’ changing supply to infinite would look like a halving of supply also,I must say I feel more comfortable looking at BitcoinZ as a long term project now funding is getting sorted since donations model always has problems in crypto.

We are working on a consensus to halve the current block reward from 12500 to 6250. We will add a developers fee of 250 coins. This will make a block reward of 6000 coins and 250 coins for the developers.
We need a developers fund to be used to pay for infrastructure costs, web design, graphic design, marketing, exchanges and more. The developers fund is a very small amount but gives a very large incentive to expand BitcoinZ.

Why do you want to halve block reward now? As I understand halving will take place after block 840000 so why would you like to change that just two months after launch?

If they don't, volume of Btcz will still increase too quickly and mining interest will keep being less and  less interesting, so less quantity, better value i think.

I am mining BitcoinZ for days. However at the current price and diff, it's not profitable.
Have you tried more BitcoinZ pools, and which of them was more profitable? Also, what miner do you use?

The best is yet to come!

First what "infrastructure costs"

web design, graphic design, marketing, exchanges and more.  Why should every pay for this?   And at the current rate that is $720 Per day  $256k a year.

Are we hiring a full time staff ?

Good evening, morning.

I want to explain and talk about BitcoinZ and where it is going.
We currently have a graphical roadmap being created. It will be put onto the bitcoinz.global website. Thanks to @whitewood and @clikan4ik

The focus of BitcoinZ is GPU mining, it gives the ability to mine to anyone with a graphic card.

300,000,000 people are wanting to get into crypto. We have a very stable crypto base of Zcash. It will soon release Jubjub which is zero knowledge privacy transactions with enough performance additions that it can be used on a mobile phone. When jubjub is implemented into the Zcash base, BitcoinZ will pull this and update also. At this point we will integrate zero knowledge z_address transactions into the mobile wallet.

We must focus on new comers to crypto. This is where BTCZ becomes popular and mainstream. We must do this through social influence.

BTCZ must be easy and understandable, 2 things that we have but we have not constructed in the correct way is: guide on mining. guide on how to buy bitcoinz.

We need to explain how to purchase BitcoinZ to a person that doesnt even know how to buy bitcoin. We must explain the method. Purchase BitcoinZ through localbitcoin or exchange etc. Then transfer to c-cex.com and screenshots of everything on how to do it.
ANOTHER thing is how to mine.

We must explain how to mine to someone who doesnt even know how to build a computer.

We must explain and buried one does this on his website, the comparison of graphics cards and what to purchase and how to set up a mining rig and how to start mining bitcoinz through a pool.

I will cover all costs for graphic design, web hosting, domain purchasing etc.

It would be a good thing to have 'findbitcoinz.com' which explains everything

minebitcoinz.com which explains everything

Now I cannot make these guides and maintain the websites etc because I have my hands full of completing other tasks on the roadmap but I believe there are many people who can construct this and contribute.

It is possible to create a site like shapeshift which you can purchase BTCZ with BTC using the C-CEX Api

If anyone can make any of this, please collaborate and do not worry about any costs, as I can cover all costs.

I am currently working on e-commerce plugins

We have such a beautiful wallet MyBitcoinZ which has the ability to scan QR codes from a mobile device etc

There will be an update in about a month that will handle bitcoinz:// calls to web browsers etc for purchasing.

We have 1 issue which I think is minor, as our addresses are t1 and can be confused with other zcash forked crypto

As we evolve, we may need to change it from t1 to z1 or b1 or anything else that isnt already used.

BitcoinZ will also be working with other coins to integrate features which will be mutually beneficial.

There is also a preliminary plan for BitcoinZ Masquerade, which will be a hidden second chain ran on ethereum. It will not be on an exchange, it will handle smart contracts and exchanges for BTCZ.
You will be able to purchase smart contracts with BTCZ
Exchange BTCZ to other crypto that is on a smart contract on the chain.

The chain technically will not even have a name, it will just work in tandem with BitcoinZ

It does not need to be on an exchange because IT is the exchange, and decentralized.

If anyone has any questions please ask, so we can clear anything up

So the tasks that can be done are:

How to mine BitcoinZ <--- explained graphically, perhaps with video also.

How to purchase BitcoinZ <--- explained graphically and also with video.

if anyone else wants MyBitcoinZ for iOS just message me your email to add you, or email admin@bitcoinz.ph

There is a large problem with BitcoinZ as the large coin holders are not developers. This is creating a void and impeding development. With this fund, new developers can join at anytime and all costs will be paid.

We have forked BitcoinZ and have a new official repo which will include many new things in the coming days.
https://github.com/btcz/

We will add the wallet service, how to guide.
We will add html+js wallet, how to guide.
We will add e-commerce plugins, woocommerce etc with a how to guide.
Plus much more.

When we come to a consensus on the block halving and developers fund, BitcoinZ will be updated at
https://github.com/btcz/
https://github.com/btcz/bitcoinz

There will be a significant notice before any changes are made to BitcoinZ code base.
You will see the pull request.

You may still follow the old repo but, it will be deprecated.

We will keep the community updated.

The change if it happens, will be a easy transition, as you only need to update if you run a node. All MyBitcoinZ wallets will automatically be transferred over and the user will notice nothing different.

Please join us on slack @ http://slack.bitcoinz.global/

Take a developer fee for marketing and infrastructure of 500 BTCZ per block size reward, but do not destroy the factor 1000 in relation to BTC.
The halving will destroy the trust of 'normal' people in BTCZ as true BTC 2.0 as explained in post #1 of this thread.

Please could you explain exactly from the advantage site why halving helps?
BTC is mining until year 2040 to get all the 21 mio coins available. Shall BTCZ miners mining until year 2070 to get all available coins?
Halving destroys the reasonable factor 1000 to factor 500, this makes no sense IMHO.

Halving is a contradiction to the basic concept of BTCZ.

What is the advantage of BTCZ to Zcash?
Zcash devs take 20% (2.5 Zec out of each block) while BTCZ is a pure coin,

BTCZ starting to get a dev fee you too

Why is the dev team not able to list this coin on reasonable exchanges? You need to set up a page on your website with at least four exchanges the community will like to be listed and ask for donations. First to reach the required amount will be listed on the respective exchange, the rest will continue with donations.  Let the donation be in BTC and BTCZ. You need to be transparent to encourage participation. I mean people should see the amount donated for each exchange as it goes. That way the community is playing a big part in the progress of the project and not just the dev.

because the next reasonable exchange costs money...all that you see built has been a community effort - there just isn't apparently enough community that care enough to donate.  Few, but not enough.

I'm working on making that donation page pretty much exactly the way you described it. It has been requested many times over the last few days.

I will point out also since your statement seems to resonate - as its similar to others - is this right here is what we get a lot of.  You all should do XXX , why don't we have XXX.

Why? because no one actually executes.

You can speak ideas all day, like an inventor, but the one that goes through Ideation -> Execution -> Proof of Concept -> Development -> Testing -> Implementation ->  Maintain & Support is what we need here.

As I mentioned earlier - I'm working on the donation page - on top of all the other coordinating and executing myself and others are doing - we have to do this too.  Why - cause no one else wants to do it.

This is not a dev fee - this is a community chest.  Dev fees go directly as 'wages' for the work they do/ have done.

The proposal here is to build a community chest where a part of the block reward goes to a multisignature wallet address where there are 8 key holders.

Any funds that need to be withdrawn from the chest MUST be voted on and if vote passes 3 of the 8 key holders must sign the transaction for it to execute.

This is the proposal - please voice your position here, if you haven't already: https://goo.gl/forms/ePzHWJ4New7HoNls1
