There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

Devs,

If you can please answer the follow:

Can we get a breakdown of what the monthly expenses are looking like for coin?

1. What are the month-to-month expenses in USD anticipated for supporting the community page / hosting / etc

2. What are the anticipated Dev costs (again in dollars if possible) necessary to push the project enhancements?
3. What are the target exchanges we wish to be added to, and what is the dollar figure we need to get listed on them?
4. What are the donation addresses to where you are collecting donations? I would recommend having segmented addresses different things (ie. General support costs, Exchange Listing, Marketing). If you keep these separate, and I can assure you the response will be better. I am currently mining almost 10k coin a day. if we can get some clear milestones regarding what is needed, I would not have any problem shifting my hashpower towards each of these addresses for two days out of the month, as I am sure others would be willing to do as well.

Lets set some clear goals, and get this back on track.

very good points - we are assembling a group - would you like to join Developers->Exchanges? or Accounting ? We need help coordinating all this.  We need a team dynamic with structure.

Project Pods - So Far

*Core Team->Assigned Lead Pods*
 *Community Teams->*
   *Game->Lead: whitewood, *
   *Exchange->Lead:  *
   *Web->Lead: gwbraa, *
   *Media/Graphics: Lead: Jakub, *
   *Wallets->Lead: renuzit, *
   *Core->Lead: ukminer17, *
   *Marketing->Lead: *
   *Social Media->Lead: Hyxt, *
   *Public Relations->Lead*
   *Infrastructure->Lead: vllsmk16, sk *
   *Accounting/Exp->Lead: Scribbles_MCAMK, *

Leads will recruit more efforts under their pod and have meetings with core on a scheduled basis to be determined.  Please bear with us while we organize and fill these spots. We will have a central point to track all this soon.

While I don't have the cycles to fully commit in a long term capacity, I wouldn't mind helping until you get things in order while a long term Lead is found. If your comfortable with this, let me know and we can work on it.

I noticed BTCZ is no longer on whattomine.com.  Anyone know why?  I thought that was giving us good exposure.

Ah that explains it!!   Yes it is flagged as "Active, not listed".

So it's still there, just not being calculated in the list of GPU minable coins at the moment.

Folks, Short-term this is a blessing in disguise as people will continue to drop off of mining and thus make it massively easier to mine more coin for a while. I wouldn't whine too much about this. Mine. Hold. Donate. Wait.

This!  I'm actually making more mining today than before the price drop.  The easier difficultly has more than made up for the price drop.

Also, as a lurker and newb to all this, I just want to thank the core members that kept Anthony's departure from tanking BTCZ.  I'm new to all this, but it's good to see how quickly everyone rallied to fill in the hole he left.

Mine On!

So I literally just discovered crypto currencies about 3 weeks ago.  I've been trying to explain all this to my wife, who has surprisingly taken a bit of interest in it too!  We've watched a few "Bitcoin Explained" youtube videos, and then last week she actually took a CPE class on Bitcoin!  (CPE is the continuing education required to maintain a CPA license).  So she knows Bitcoin has been hovering around the 6K - 7K USD mark recently.

I'm in the process of transferring my BTCZ from the MyBitCoinZ wallet to the BitcoinZ wallet.  I sent 10,000 coins just as she walked up behind me.  She did a double take on the amount, thought a moment, and then started freaking out asking me what the hell I had done to get 10,000 Bitcoins!!!  lol
