I opened my desktop wallet today and get the following error:

"This wallet is not registered at the given Bitcore Wallet Service (BWS). You can recreate it from the local information."

There is a link below the message that says "Tap to recreate"

This wallet has been working fine. Two days ago it worked fine. Today I have this message.

What does this mean? I'm afraid to click on the "Tap to recreate" link because I don't understand what the problem is or why I need to recreate anything. Can anyone help me?

You're ok to click 'tap to recreate'.  This is part of what you'll see cause we moved to another server - part of the transition process to community ownership of that system.

Has a decision been made in terms of funding for development?

Has a decision been made in terms of funding for development?

If someone can develop that is willing to accept BTCZ as payment, that brings a development plan, and it passes vote by the community.  Sure.

Is there a way to gather votes from the community or will this be via forum such as this?

I can see this's miners community and no one care about the growth of the coin but to mine and sell it at any price. Too bad this coin is still not listed on Coinexchange despite low listing cost. Shame on the devs. It means Anthony was the only one getting things moving. Investors are not foolish as you think.
You want everything run fast, this is not good for BTCZ project, which is very young.
Many people are mining and holding and I think this is very good strategy at this stage - very high chances that you will multiply your holdings, because this project is damn good.

Besides of possible profit I also like this project from the concept point of view: without any premine, GPU mining (no ascis), real decentralization, fast and cheap transactions, possibility of anonymous transactions, community development, no tricky and greedy developers (like in BCH, BTG projects) this coin really follows ideology of Satoshi and it deserves to be in top ten of cryptocoins. Many people forgot initial idea why Bitcoin was started and are looking only to earn x1000 as soon as possible.

This is exactly the way I feel about this project. Anyone dumping this coin instead of holding it is selling the project and themselves short; but they'll be kicking themselves later.

Similar to ZEN, BitcoinZ is based on ZCL as it is already mentioned in first post. ZCL is not maintained by owners. Latest zcash changes are not merged to ZCL for a long time. It looks like abandoned / centralized by devs chain.
Also ZEN and BitcoinZ is not competition. ZEN has dev tax which is managed by its team. In BitcoinZ there is no tax, no main / core dev team and community organized donations from pools.

BitcoinZ has different philosophy - it is continuation of bitcoin. No one can decide to change anything. BitcoinZ is fully decentralized, dev resistant coin.

BitcoinZ is based on Zcash and has latest zcash changes merged to it's core client. This coin has decentralized dev team. All changes from zcash will be automatically merged to BitcoinZ - no big deal and it is no huge effort to merge changes. That's why we don't need any dev fees.

All donations are managed by volunteers not connected to creators. bitcoinz-pod team doesn't collect any donations.
We have very stable zcash core which doesn't require any new features.
All we need is more adoption, recognition, new fancy wallets, integrations which we hope will be achieved by community donation fund managed by volunteers / community voting.

We believe in decentralization!

Kind suggestion.

Consider a LTC address, since BTC isn't really good for small amounts.  Wink
