It is one vote per IP address.  When your IP address changes (like with a dynamic IP address) you get another vote   Grin

At the risk of being tedious, I have also listed Datacoin for consideration on the Altcoin Exchange:  https://feedback.altcoinexchange.com/suggestions/3230/datacoin-dtc

Exactly the same voting system as the Next Exchange.

I have voted for datacoin Smiley

Thank you very much.

I think you can pretty much vote every day.  Most IP addresses are dynamic, and it looks like you can vote every time the underlying IP address changes.   Go back regularly to see if your upvote button is green again.

The Next exchange promises to contact us once we reach 250 votes.  So keep on voting!

As discussed with the current development team I have decided to move on to other
projects. I am still a massive fan of Datacoin and will be checking in now and then to see how things are progressing.
Extro could you please remove my profile from the contributors list. Thanks

I noticed the comment on the voting page indicating "can't wait for atomic swaps in action"
Those cross-chain swaps require BIP65 support which was introduced in the upstream v0.10.4 code.

we recently performed a large file archive test using Apertus.io
here are the results.

Size: 46.4 MB
Base64: 63.4MB

Type: MP4
Length:00:28:55
Frame: 640X360

Time: 8Hrs 10 minutes
Cost: 3504 DTC

Issues: it bloated the wallet.dat and really slowed it down.
https://youtu.be/SdD9SEhP2dM

overall blockchain bloat: 92.2MB in 540 transactions
chains Increasing max per transaction storage capacity will significantly reduce bloat.

NOTE: We discovered a memory leak issue with the client when the file is rebuilt and played in the browser.
we are researching that now and hope to have a fix released shortly.

Here is the link to the large file test on bitfossil.com
http://bitfossil.com/4146f31c77a0b698da1538c24f0b9076008e8f25e6e509ef279421f238fb5175/index.htm

you can watch it directly from within the apertus client with a synchronized wallet (even without internet access).
enter this transaction id: 4146f31c77a0b698da1538c24f0b9076008e8f25e6e509ef279421f238fb5175

This is amazing.  I sometimes think the Datacoin blockchain has a mind of its own in the way that it constantly reveals to us what it is capable of.

i agree i am supporting datacoin because it offers something truly unique.

datacoin is the only immutable decentralized offering that provides data access to all available content offline without internet access (that i am aware of).

all other offerings are relying on a internet connected cloud to access any content other than your own.

datacoin can operate in remote areas of the world and universe  Grin that do not have reliable internet access.

Once a datacoin user finds internet access again they will sync all new content onto their workstation and have access to it offline.

because everyone gets the same dataset it is impossible to know what you are looking at or what you are executing when you are in offline mode.

we will soon be able to store all the worlds data on the head of a pin.  i wouldn't worry so much about filling up your personal storage.

the future is bright

Just change your browser. I use Firefox, Opera and Chrome: 3 votes in 5 seconds.

Besides, I have a second PC with 2 browsers: another 2 votes in 3 seconds  Wink

If you then use Tor browser or similar: a lot of votes in a short time  Grin

Hi embii,

Just a little back of the envelope math shows me -

Code:
>>> ( ( 1024 ** 2 * 63.4 ) / ( 1024 * 128 ) ) * 0.05
25.36

Did you have a projection for the DTC cost before doing the experiment?

Since there are roughly 737.6 chunks of 128 KiB, I'd have figured the costs could be substantially less.

Also -- I think it would be a nifty experiment to do the same thing again while mining your own blocks and paying a zero-fee.

Best Regards,
-Chicago

Fantastic - we are at 161 upvotes for Datacoin.  Everybody - we need 89 more upvotes to reach 250.  Then we can engage the Next Exchange for them to do their due diligence.

Hi guys.
I think most of you don't know\remember me. I was the man who was actively contributing to Datacoin at its very beginning  Smiley I used to lead promotions, design contests, talking to people interested in DTC, and owned initial datacoin.info website/email/twitter. You can easily check this in my old posts. I'm very sorry that I left crypto for many years and didn't answer messages and emails, but now I decided to return back.

The crypto world has changed completely since I logged off from bitcointalk in 2014, I see this. Probably I can do something for Datacoin or other really interesting projects. I'll keep an eye on this thread.

p.s. at least I remember GameKyuubi and extro24 !

Yeah, crypto changed, but not in the good way it seems.
More shillers and scammers than ever, I think.

Some good projects revived, but don't have social marketing.
So it's hard to get any attention...
