I see you can resolved DNS, but have you tried something as simple as a ping test from your computer?

Everything else checks out that I can see.
I run 290s (very similar cards) on roughly the same setup you have, and I have no errors.
The only difference is that I'm running CCC 15.7.1, not sure if that makes that much of a difference.
I can only think there is some kind of network issue occurring?

Voting on Next Exchange

Due to the tireless efforts of the Datacoin community we are now lying TENTH (10th) on the Voting list for the Next Exchange, with more than 1200 votes.  I really cannot see how they can refuse to list us, especially since we are the first of the coins that have not been listed.

Today (Friday) the Next developers normally take suggestions on the Next Exchange Telegram channel to discuss which coins are to be listed.  EVERYBODY please log into that telegram channel and make the case for Datacoin.

Frustratingly, I have been banned again by the bot that is active on the channel.  This piece of software seems to be malfunctioning, because I had no trouble getting unbanned the previous time.

I suspect that part of the delay in listing may be related to the length of time it takes for the Datacoin blockchain to sync.  If you do encounter the Next developers and they talk about this issue please mention our blockchain bootstrap and post in this forum.

Thank you everybody for your efforts, including the comments which are showing up again.  Volumes on the other two Datacoin exchanges (BTCPOP and the Freiexchange) remain gratifying, and several people report that mining Datacoin is profitable again!

First we need to complete the listing on the Next Exchange, where cryptocurrencies will trade against 31 fiat currencies.  If we are successful there we would have 3 exchanges, which would allow us to apply to Shapeshift, which would give us access to the Open Bazaar.  We also need to reactivate the ranking on CoinMarketCap, which became possible with the active API on the FreiExchange.

We need an Android wallet in the Google Play store, which we are working on.

We need to standardize on a central Github repository like datacoin-project.  We are struggling with this issue, but we think we know the owner of this account.

Apertus.io have already prepared various social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter and Snapchat lookalikes, but to deploy them we have to get to Datacoin 0.10.0.  To get there we must still do Datacoin 0.9.0.

Finally we need to deploy Hyperledger on the Datacoin blockchain itself, instead of on private chains.  There has been some progress but we are still far away from doing so.

Those are the most pressing issues at the moment.

But we must not forget what has been achieved.  Chicago released Datacoin 0.8.6.  We have active Twitter, Facebook and Reddit accounts and Datacoin trades on two exchanges.  I feel that the coin has been thoroughly revived and that there is little danger in it being forgotten or superseded.
