One of the most important questions these days is if the token sale is regulated. We've spent a lot of time ensuring that we follow Maltese laws for our Token Sale, but it's worth it. Without regulation, you never know what might happen to the token you have purchased. So always make sure to ask about which regulatory framework the sale falls under!

In some countries, Yes. Not in some countries. Let's get some clarification. At the moment, they are outside the legal field in the US.

It depends on a project. If you would spend some time by investigating a project, you would be able to detect a fraud project. But people do not care at all. They are looking at the rating websites and investing without any research and than saying that every ICO is a scam.

The situation and the question completely depends on what country you are in, because it is from this that the correctness of how situations with cryptocurrencies and ICO will develop, because the laws in different countries are completely different with respect to cryptocurrencies.
It is so! We can't say for sure, not only because each country has its own laws, but also because everybody has a different attitude to the law. Not every person is a law-abiding citizen.

To me ICOs are generally a failed way for investing. Simply dont invest in them. There are many less risk ways to invest in cryptos and in crypto companies. Why to invest in ICOs if the chance to loose is maybe 90%?

It all depends on where it is organized and by whom. There are too many subtleties without which it is difficult to say whether they are legitimate or not.

The nature of the ICO is very good, it has the role of raising capital to contribute to the development of the project. And ICO investment is one of the best investment channels. It can bring good returns to investors in a short time. But because of the nature of the Crypto market is free, non-governmental. So there are many fraudulent ICOs on the market. In my opinion, it is important that we take more care in choosing the ICO to invest.

The activity of the ICO itself is legal, but in some countries the holding of an ICO is prohibited. Since everyone is allowed to take part in this activity, and the amounts collected here are very significant from investors, this activity attracts many fraudsters. Now there are a lot of fraudulent ICO projects, because this activity is not yet regulated by the states. So far, only some of them create regulations for regulating the activities of ICO.

Hi Guys,
Im pretty keen to understand more about ICOs and intend to invest in some. ANY recommended ICOs and any advise how you guys determine whether is it a legit or Scam?
Thanks in advance.
Ive been a bountt hunter for more than a year and I can say that ICOs now are evolve into a risky business compared before. Usually ICOs before havent like this that turns out to be scam and the investment raises are huge due to trust to crypto but now its losing its edge due to some people who took advantage of ICOs. If you want to know if a project is legit, make sure to check the project 10x like literally inspect all details like team, do they have product, do they have legit social sites and etc.

Legal cryptocurrency projects and ICO provide investors with significant investment opportunities. However, the passion for ICO has sparked in some people a desire to make money by fraud, and they have already deceived thousands of investors for billions of dollars. I will offer five reliable methods that should be used when investing: 1. Examine white paper thoroughly. 2. Learn about the team (make sure its members really exist) 3. Keep track of the number of tokens sold. 4. Make sure the project is realistic (use common sense) 5. Transparent and active interaction with investors Cryptocurrencies and the ICO world offer unprecedented opportunities for profitable investments. However, like all investments, they are accompanied by significant risks of fraud, deception and misrepresentation.

Depending on each country, my government does not intervene in electronic money as well as the ICO so they can create an illegal ICO themselves. And there are some countries where they manage their ICO that are legitimate ICO.

There are many projects out there that may still be alive today after the ICO craze of 2017, barely surviving looking to continue drag money into their project when in reality its just the early buyers or owners trying to trade it in for another currency.

There are many ICOs out there rn with the only intention is to make money off of people who failed to research about them. Of course there are some which keeps true to what they believe in like MegaX where they want to reduce the gap between brick-and-mortar companies and online retailers by creating a marketplace whereby cryptocurrencies are accepted as payment. https://megaxstore.com/

If you want to invest somewhere you first start learning how to invest and in what, for how long and is it feasible? Many people complain about losing their money, but mistakes are all theirs, not ICO.

However, there is a lot of scammed right now. We should take care of choosing what to invest. We should check and study first before to go a big decision so that you won't regret looses in the end. It is risky because it involves money.

I believe that the modern crypto market is very versatile. It is difficult to make unambiguous statements. After all, some ICOs are completely legal, really pursue good goals and benefit society. But many are scammers, so you need to carefully select the appropriate project.

Unfortunately, there is no universal advice on choosing an ICO project. ICO ratings of projects should not be trusted, they are sometimes paid. I try to go into those projects that have already collected the minimum required amount. I choose platforms that already have a product that works (real business, etc.).

However, even this does not save more and more from fraud. Now a new type of fraud is widely distributed among ICO teams - the announcement of a KYC audit after the completion of ICO. It is carried out for the purpose of non-payment to us earned tokens and therefore it is very difficult to pass, and sometimes impossible. Therefore, the project will work, we advertised it diligently and in good faith, but we will not see the earned tokens.
