Its new technology, people still look at the potential out of it. Therefore, you've heard a lot of speculation about it.

I don't know why people say bitcoin is gambling. Its not gambling. You are investing your money and time. You use your internet. So its not gambling dealing with it.

Bitcoin itself is not, but investing is. Investing your money and converting it to bitcoin is a gamble cause you risk your money in investing in a volatile currency. There's a chance of winning and losing so basically it's gambling.

I know it's not gambling and I act responsible in day trading and altcoin trading. I never take excessive risk and I protect my budget by the way. This is the way of surviving on crypto markets now.

It depends on what you do with your Bitcoin. If you buy it and just hold it (hoping for the price to climb) then you are in fact gambling or betting on a price increase. Many people that bought in Dec or Jan are currently losing that bet. However, if you for instance trade (buy and sell over and over for noobs) Bitcoin then you are strategically making money with your Bitcoin. If you sell for more then what you paid... there is no gamble (other then the price dropping after you buy of course). That's what stop loss is for but that's another thread.
