I think it is safe to participate in ICOs although there are some that are tag as scams. I think what we can do is carefully choosing the legitimate ones by looking at the people behind them. These people should have good track records and known to many as good individuals.

I have learned one thing my friend. If they have a bounty program, no matter what, do not joing the ICO.
IF they have a limit per investor, then that would be just perfect. (Less possibility to have whales).

Yeah you have to keep in view of all those circumtances. Risk are there always in term of investment not just an ICO but also you invest in anywhere that that's involved business. If you have planning to invest in an ICO you must search first about that ICO and be careful ,read a lot about the project, team and future developments and so on and so forth before you invest.

A great indicated of a scam is to see in an ICO where the majority of the investment is going , if it is going to the company itself under different levels then it is most probably because of the fact that the company is focused on gaining the money rather than a good ROI for its investors which is a sign of a scam

Dear Sir., in regards to your thread topic, i would say, there are lots of ups and downs in investing ICO, first is because i've experienced being scammed in ICO, wherein i just use the same and email and password to my altcoins account, and suddenly all my altcoins account has been scammed and i cannot open anymore. Its a tragic experience, because some of the ICO's are pretending to be a good ICO but in the end i was a loser of losing my account. I mean not all my money has been scammed, but a portion only.

Learned from my experience that not all pretending good ICO are good ICO. They are hiding. Anyway thank you for your thread post, i voiced out my concern.
