Which Coins are a great LONG-TERM investment ????

IF i have to give my opinion, its going to be a coin that is highlt being fud for over years, some might not like it but its going to be worth more than what its price right now. It used to be just less than 5 cents but now its $0.20. If you are going to long term investment, get more XRP.

Ethereum will be my best choice of investment for the long term. It is already second in the top coins and it has quite the potential to be the first too. It might take time for ETH to be at the first but it certainly has the ability to overcome BTC . ETH has a great technology and it is being used world wide by many industries. If this continues to happen then the growth ETH will make will be tremendous . It will cross all its high peak values and might be at the top of the list.

Ripple is a good choice in this regard, other coins like DGB and ETH are also good for long term investment. ICOs are also a good source of investment for long term, because after an ICO is finished they distribute the coin and after like 3 months the price of that coin on exchanges increases and this is how we they can be considered as a long term investment.

i suggest you for the bitcoin, ethereum, batcoincash and dash are good to future investment for 4-5 years scenario. the bitcoin is the king and will remain till cryptocurrency will exist so it is no.1 for investment. the ethereum will established as the queen of cryptocurrency so future of ETH is more bright than BTC. so you first prefer ETH for future investment for 4-5 years scenario.

Surely Monero being have the best privacy is the best long term bet at the moment outside of BTC.  Would also look at Decred, have great team, about to support lightening and have privacy features coming.

I don't thin XRP would be a good investment.
NEO is promising and cheap.
Though they are high, ETH and Monero still have potential to rise.
And AEON is also making some buzz.

I personally like coins with niche functionality or low supply.  In my experience, these types tend to reap me the highest returns with usually minimum losses.
Simply because I tend to get into them when they have very low value.

All people tend to speculate on short-term moves but I am more interested in tokens that will go up x times over the next couple of years...

so to say, the Amazons and Googles of the crypto world.

Which coins are REALLY GROUNDBREAKING in your eyes and why?

I mean Bitcoin started the whole thing but technically there are so much better, safer, faster, more anonymous coins that should take over in the long run.

I think ethereum and monero is the right choice. it's been a lot of progress made by both coins, and I think in the future these 2 coins have good prospects.

I think Bitcoin is the safest bet for a 5-10 yeat investment. I think Ethereum also because even if something better comes along you have all these coins already issued on the eth platform that favors the retention of eth because people already in the system tend to prefer the status quo, generally.

Aside from that, there's no coin at the moment that i would consider. When you read older threads on this forum you see some coins that had so much hype and potential when they were launched and now you hardly hear about them even though it's not even two years later (only some months later in some cases). Developers and teams lose interest, fall apart, run out of funding etc.

Also, the technology changes so fast. We are really in the baby age of blockchain and crypto currencies. This means there is a lot of room for people to improve on existing coins. A coin that looks great today might have a hot competitor tomorrow.

For that reason, outside of btc and eth, i wouldn't trust any of my coins for 5-10 years. I try to stay on top of their innovation and development. If they stagnate or stop innovating, dump. If something better comes along, dump.

Yes, there are a lot of altcoins out there that are better but I think they all seem to be starting from the Bitcoin technology platform. At present there are quite a lot of potential altcoin and high market capitalization. In my long-term investment, I chose Eth, there are probably a lot of people who choose Eth like me. In general for ICOs I give this advice:
It's safe to participate if, and only if:
- All team members publicly identify
- Whitepaper is legible, easy to read, and not using too many marketing terms
- Has an actual company formed around it (otherwise you're giving money to a loose group of individuals)
- Product has a roadmap showing some kind of pending release or progress milestone, otherwise they may be dipping for funding just since ICOs came out instead of actually requiring it now

I believe long term Bitcoin and Ethereum.  Bitcoin because of its history and ability to stay in the news.  I like Ethereum because of its progression.  It has Vitalik Buterin.  It will lead the Crypto world in the near future.  But all currencies are linked to Bitcoin as of right now.  So Bitcoin first.

I think that the best long time bet/investment at the moment is Bancor. If/when most of the long tail of new currencies will adopt it to offer instant liquidity, bancor can really moon.

I agree that waves is a rather good platform which has chances to become more popular in the future and surely ethereum is still on top in the list of altcoins.

Well, perhaps NEO will be all right as a coin but I don't think great future in terms of its price is actually ahead due to China. XRP - dealing with banks is a good project but I really think the supply is too big for this coin to grow in price a lot and I also think bmc has better chances in this sphere, they have a great dev team.

5-10 years is a very long time in crypto world so it's impossible to predict. But I think BTC and ETH will still be around almost for sure. And of the other coins NEO and OMG might be amongst the top too.

For 5-10 years i would pick Solaris, Bitcoin, Nem, Waves, Etherum. In my opinion best for long term because they are so promising for me.
