My prefered altcoins for long-term investment are:
1.NEO
2.Ethereum
3.Omisego
4.trade token
5.Cardano

but i would also research on upcoming new ICO's there are tons of good new coins/tokens being programmed

The ones that have been on the market for more than months, those are the only ones that are going to survive in here independly from what happens on the market. Neo, ethereum, cardano, eos, and bitcoin, those are the most profitable ones

I think now for 5-10 years to make is not worth it. Everything changes in just a couple of months. So that you can earn in the short term. As for the coins, I would have collected everything and waited.

for me all coins will be a scam if we hold it within 5-10 years. this is my opinion only, if you believe it does not matter and if not, it does not matter. for long-term investment for 10 years is too long.

There's really only one way I know of the make any sort of steady income without risk in the cryptoverse: owning a masternode. the payment goes up and down depending on the number of MNs and the fiat trading price, but at least you get something while you're waiting for the market to recover. lending out coins on an exchange like BFX is risky even though you get a return because the exchange could get hacks or an embezzler could take it all. If you don't hold the private keys, you don't own crypto.

I have a Dash MN that currently pays out about $1200/month depending on exchange rate. That's enough to live on if I make sandwiches from moldy hot dog buns from the day old bread store. a Dash MN costs about $215,000 currently. For less than a quarter mil, you too can live like me!

the answer to that question is BITCOIN and Ethereum because the two coins are just like you claimed that they are like Google and Amazon versions of crypto currency.

Altcoin which is good enough to use in the long run is a coin with an ever-increasing development like Ethereum.
with a coin that has the ability to develop it is great for making far greater gains in the future and much more.
