it is basically because of unequal distribution of resources. Some people have more they need and others lack the basic necessities of life. The rich don't worry about the poor, they mainly focus upon increasing their own wealth. The poor people struggle to even get a single meal a day. A state has enough to provide to every citizen but they normally are not willing to do this. Rich people need more.

I think the most common  cause of poverty is "being born as a poor person". It is hard to struggle upward in a society where everyone brings you down whenever you can get ahead of them specially when you are at the stsrting point a poor person. Also one major cause of poverty is due to their environment and surroundings because you tend to adapt to what is around you if people in your area is poor you might be poor as well

Poverty is one of the greatest problem in the world which almost every country is facing. The common cause is corruption. Politicians and rich people are stealing money without thinking that their public is dying of hunger. This corruption leads to unequal distribution of money because money lies only in few hands, the result is then unequal distribution of resources.

The common cause of poverty is corruption. When government is corrupt, even if the citizens are working hard to make the economy better, taxes are not used well for social and economic improvement. Which makes the scenario worst. If government officials are doing their job well and not stealing money, the economy will surely bloom.

The common cause of poverty is when the system of the country is not great.  If the leader or the president is not working to make the economy developed.  When there is very low salary and the expenses is high.  If there is discrimination also to its company that are hiring for job, the opportunity of people is not good. Wrong mind set and lack of the right information and willingness to try out new ideas are common causes of poverty.

May I add from wrong mindset, also laziness is another factor. They want an easy and abundant life but too lazy to find a work or any means to have an income. But sometimes there are people too complacent enough that they do not have an idea, they need to be guided and trained. Also, their unwilling to learn is another factor.

I think its because of poor people who make a lot of babies, our country is over population thats why we have efficiency in foods, poor people should know their limits in making child so that over population and food poverty is controlled.
