The most common one is lack of proper education and job opportunities. If you are a poor kid and can't get free education and find someone who will give you a job you're screwed. It's easy to get education in a wealthy country and a job when the market is booming. In a poor country where everyone around you is in deep shit you simply get dirty and fall in like the rest of them.

Most common cause is lack of planning for their futures, no family support or lack of education, because education is one which enbaled many to prevent poverty. Education is one of the key to success and not to poverty because somtimes iy gives you better ang stable job.

For me its corruption. Its not like lack in education its not because of that but instead it is because of corruption where politicians steal the money from the people (TAX). If they only make some project like houses and schools then i cant say the main problem is education. It always starts in governments and end to the people

I think the most common  cause of poverty is "being born as a poor person". It is hard to struggle upward in a society where everyone brings you down whenever you can get ahead of them specially when you are at the stsrting point a poor person. Also one major cause of poverty is due to their environment and surroundings because you tend to adapt to what is around you if people in your area is poor you might be poor as well
