I think common cause of poverty is lack of awareness and education among people.

There are many ways through which poverty can be eradicated but people dont want to use this. There is enough money throughout the world. But there lack of willingness to work hard and earn money.

Poverty is not just the governments fault but the ones who are in poverty also, if they would find a way or to strive to get out of poverty they could, if they would do all they can to generate in a legal way they could. I think the corruption is the most and common cause of of poverty. A country could be weak if there are too many leaders have corruptions inside of the organizations.

Largely due to the environment they are placed in. Some countries are corrupt beyond belief and have little to no assets. The combination of the two, plus poor education / insufficient nutrition for development creates a vicious and ongoing cycle that is nearly impossible to break.

this is not enough. You missed out the genetics of intelligence and if we are honest, we see the evidence of natural limitations in others and ourselves. Some people are less intelligent and therefore, even now, achieve less than more advanced cultures, in most modern countries, maybe all of them, no matter what we do.

It is wrong to ignore this reality. Some people are poor even if you feed them, give them healthcare, education, money etc. It does not matter.

It is much like seeing children in adult bodies.

I would say that over-population is the most important reason, followed by alcohol and drug addiction. If you could implement strict population control policy across the whole country, then more than 90% of the problems will be solved. Alcohol addiction can be solved through the creation of more jobs and awareness campaigns targeted at the youth.

People become lazy, when they can afford to be so. And this happens when the government starts distributing freebies and subsidies to the illiterate people who don't want to work. This is exactly what is happening in my country right now. Everything is being distributed for free, including cooking gas, electricity, rice and even train tickets.

The main cause of poverty is the Federal reserve banking system. This system allows banks to lend out money up to 10 times as much as they have in their balance accounts. The banks always lend with interest. This means more money than exists in the world is lent out to businesses and people. It is not possible to repay all debts in the world! This means there are always losers in the global economy who are passed on the debt. This tends to be the least educated. This same system is deployed for lending from the world bank. So the world bank lends money to developing nations to help them modernise, (large contracts get won by overseas firms, not necessarily firms in these countries). But these countries have to pay back with interest, and the profits from building their economies often flows out of the country and is partially squandered by ineffective government and corruption. The large countries exploit the small ones and the poorest always suffer. Poverty is caused by capitalism and imperialism and could easily be solved if we were to abolish money and focus on developing the world with the resources available to us.

There are many common cause of poverty: corruption is the one that has a big contribution to poverty, second is crab mentality (being not happy of seeing someone success, third is the negative mentality of a person. I believe these are the very reason of poverty and why it is growing. I could also say that these are illness that must be cute or else it will be inherited by the next generation.

I am an activist, and for me government is the real cause why poverty exists. The citizens suffer much because of corruption. Many children can't go to school because the budget that allocated to education is stealed by corrupt officials. Factory and ordinary workers have a minimum salary and the taxes are too high. All of these problems are came because of the greediness of the politicians. Therefore, what we saw today is the result of corruption. The lack of education, lack of labor and numerous corrupt officials will lead to poverty.

If they do not work, they will not have money to buy food . They have to find food instead of waiting for someone to bring food to them
