Largely due to the environment they are placed in. Some countries are corrupt beyond belief and have little to no assets. The combination of the two, plus poor education / insufficient nutrition for development creates a vicious and ongoing cycle that is nearly impossible to break.

Common cause of poverty is unemployment, second is of having a big family without any source of income to sustain for the financial living

This is related to the country's economic development. A well-funded country can easily avoid these problems. Of course, it depends on the country's population. Too many people will face enough problems to eat enough.

I agree. Here in India, every now and then we have to give bribes to the cops and the government officials. The problem with this system is that the poor and the uneducated are the worst hit. Educated and well off guys can sometimes avoid paying bribes, but the poor don't have that option. A major part of their income is spent in the form of bribes.

Really, probably over population. The top live off the poor. But if there were less people living off the land, there would be in a sense less poverty. Simpler life, but happier.

The common cause of poverty is lack of work. Lots of people wants to have work but mostly are not qualified because of age limit. I think eventhough they are above the age limit as long as they can work they should hire them.

For me so much cause of poverty is lack of education.If you are educated you can get job so you can earn money and buy your needs.But because there is lack of it, the knowledge on how to survive is limited .Their mind set is to get married so they have a partner in earning money but they don't think they create more problem that makes them more poor.

Common causes of poverty are they are more children but no more work. There are more people now suffer of hunger because there no jobs but more children. So how the government accommodate all of them if they also are not helping their self.

The common cause of poverty is our lack of motivation to be better. People often say it is the government but for me, it is among ourselves. The eagerness to succeed will set us free from poverty. The drive to do something that can help us gain money, like to study on schools, to work, to open up a business, to be smart, and other ways to help us have a return will be our getaway from poverty

We limit our self in a huge opportunity because of our fear and laziness to perform new things that can improved our life. I think the main reason for poverty worldwide is the lack of resources in some countries. People or countries with some natural resources can eliminate poverty. Middle Eastern countries that were previously considered desert countries are now some of the richest countries. This is due to the availability of petroleum resources that can generate substantial revenues from exports. These countries are also afraid of the decline in oil reserves. Even if other energy generation facilities for automobiles like hydrogen technology emerge, then these countries will witness poverty again.

For my country experience, it needs well-education and school system. Most people say it needs well-resouce, great envoirment, etc but it doesnt works at all. I would not say the exactly the country name or contry region, but develop countried donate for long long years, there are never changed countries in the world. It proved by history.
