What is the common cause of poverty?

The most common cause is the political parties. I am sure in this world which countries are suffering from poverty that's because of the bloody political parties. They make a budget for us but it never reach to us. They use it for their pleasure. They use the job post for their pleasure so that they can earn some bribe. When will they understand that that is not good.

the cause of poverty and famine in a country is insufficient knowledge and lack of education among the low class people, they have not been given the government's opportunity to study. Because education is the key to a person's development. Another reason is that corrupt officials only think for their personal interest and not for their community.

Most of the lower class people experience hunger and poverty because of the government that destroys people's money. Instead of helping them in charitable activities for education or giving them a good job, they ruin it and put it in their own pockets. So that people in need of government assistance do not give importance.

Goverment cant create jobs beyond what it needs to operate, i work at a gov office where we help people with money so their kids go to school, get medicines, we cover them from elementary school to univeristy, and for the most part families dont get out of poverty, because people just use that money to spend more or the wife stops working, because they now have the goverment help.

The purview of the cause of poverty is too wide to answer. Some will say it's affected by environmental factors like, the government, geographical location, education etc. but in line with that is the fact that sometimes poverty becomes a choice.

It also is sometimes depends on someone's perspective of what poverty really means, for some poverty means the lack of basic needs, but "basic" can be identified too many different ways in order for you to really get what they mean by it.

I, for one, experienced not eating 3 times a day, and have experienced having plenty-- but still felt poor.

What causes poverty is the social norm, of what is rich, who is poor, and what is needed to survive in our planet. People tend to be on this race of being on the top all the time without thinking of it's effect to others around them. You will see multi billion mining companies beside a very poor community. High rise condominiums within the slumps of an over crowded city- how Ironic is that.

The common root cause of poverty is our government official who are involved  in corruption.they abuse there power.they corrupt all the money which is not thier own.this is the reason why many people suffer in poverty.

The cause of poverty is the lack of people's education. So they find it difficult to find a job. Most of the companies, their qualification to hire employee must completed their studies and with diploma, also they hiring with already experiences.

Also the government in one of the cause of poverty because of lack of funding for education, health and projects for the poor. Because people don't care or can't care. There is a lot of food wasted and just goes to trash. Plates are filled with left overs. Fruits and vegetables are left to rot if not sold. Population is obese in some places, while there is corruption, greed, undernourishment in others.
